I purchased the pack of Core’dinations Jenni Bowlin embossed cardstock, so expect to see it show up a lot here for a while as I enjoy it.
I applied acrylic paint over the sheet of cream cardstock with a foam brush randomly, then when dry used a nail file to distress – which removed paint + some of the darker cream color to reveal the pale color and it really made the circles stand out too. Love that.
My inspiration for making this page was comparing the 2008 patch photo with the 2009 one. It was dumb luck that had me discover the ’08 photo, and I decided it was fated to be used on this page. (other supplies – Pink Paislee sticker, fabric, title paper; Jenni Bowlin tags and flower pearls, MM flower & brad)

This is really cute! thanks for the inspiration – I am sure I will be scrpalifting this just a little 🙂
Beautiful layout May. I purchased some Bazill paper sometime back that is embossed. Think I will try the pant and distressing thing. Thanks for the inspiration! Am trying out your challenge for this week’s class and using only the papers that came in my Scarlet Lime kit…mustard, red, and green. I wouldn’t have used the red before, and I am fairly happy with the layout! Guess they did know what they were doing 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
this is so beautiful and makes me miss my pre-digital days. but don’t tell. LOL
what a fun layout May! I love this embossed cardstock and can’t wait to give it a try!
I love this, especially what you’ve done with the ribbon.
