Challenge: A is for….

A day off school

A lot of CHA posts/booths still to post

A new challenge

brand new on-line class beginning today!

Lots of new things happening this week – today I’ve got A new project to share, and if you hadn’t guessed yet, the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge this week is “A is for…” which leaves it WIDE open!! I went with using A few new products from A shop that is my favorite! (Simon!)

I’m in a very hearts-y mood – and these stamps + dies from Simon were the PERFECT choice for me this week!

How-to:

1. Stamp background with heart stamp + white embossing powder and heat set.

2. Use shadow ink + blending tool on background.

3. Die cut various hearts from cardstock. white paint on one, stickles on the outline hearts.

4. Assemble! Adhere the hearts on, then add the dimensional accent to finish it off.

Fun note: I stamped in black ink and it looked AWFUL… therefore the dimensional accent was used as a cover-up. Just A reminder that you can always make it work!
50dollar_voucher_600px Simon is, as always, offering a generous $50 voucher that will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries each week. Join the fun by creating a project this week – and for your chance to win a $50 voucher you should hop on over and join in the challenge here.

  4. I, too, like the background and see it’s done with a stencil. The variations in the heart shapes and sizes make it very eye-catching. I appreciate the inspiration!

  5. LOVE those embossed hearts in the background – and it’s a really pretty stamp… Gorgeous card, and the dimensional embellishment certainly looks as though it was always meant to be!!
