Layout with June Gossamer Blue

012

This week over at Camp Scrap I issued a “social media” challenge meaning to scrapbook something inspired by or a photo you’d posted to social media. I decided to use the photo of the girls on the first pool jump of the season + my June Gossamer Blue kit!

Sometimes it can be easy to forget to tell those tiny stories & moments you share online in a scrapbook page, so this was a fun challenge for me!

I hope you have a weekend full of crafty fun – or summer adventures!

Gossamer Blue June project #4

010

How is it June 11 already? egads.  011

I’ve still got my June Gossamer Blue kit sitting here on my desk, yelling at me “USE ME!” and so I spread a bit of white paint onto a patterned paper and documented a little story from just a few days ago.

Keeping creative and having fun – it’s all good stuff! I’ll be sharing at least 2 more projects from this kit. LOVE IT. I didn’t have a photo from the last day of school, this one was a few weeks prior but does that matter? I don’t think so!! I think if the photo is in the same season/year it is considered a match. Don’t sweat the small details like that – just get those stories told.

I went a bit wild with the stitching on this one… but I’m glad because those plastic letters (which are cool!) will now be really stuck to my page and not fall off any time soon. Good times! Our summer fun has definitely started…

Registration is open until Wednesday evening – if you’d like to join me for more creative fun Camp Scrap is in session!

Camp Scrap: Day 1

campscrap

It is Thursday – and that means it is Camp Scrap DAY 1!! We’re here, getting it started, and of course you are still welcome to join in the fun! This class will NOT be re-run/repeated!! Camp Scrap is always an all-new experience each time.

This is also our last day of school here, and I made a very quick card-

new

Want to see how I made this? It was EASY – you can see my video (YouTube capture video- NO pauses/edits/breaks!) right here.  All summer I will be doing a weekly “capture” video in this style where it is just one take, no re-do, just 3-6 minutes or so of craftiness. Back to the card- I made it using a chipboard flower accent + new Hero Arts stamps – I’m just soooo in love with the splatter one and “good times” the stamp? OH YES!!  Simon Says Stamp has all the new goods – and you’ll be seeing more here. Hero Arts came out with some fantastic stuff – and I’ve got lots more than a 7minute card to share!!

I wish you very Happy Crafting- and welcome you to Camp Scrap! For more information or to sign up click here.

Countdown to Camp Scrap: 1 week!

So here’s a fun fact: Camp Scrap starts on the last day of school! WOW! Time really does fly.

campscrap

It is Thursday – and that means it is Camp Scrap countdown day usually… but whoops. I didn’t think about the fact that today = kindergarten assembly + no school for Elizabeth (long story short, I’m not sending her on a field trip without me, so she’s coming to kindergarten!) and all of this = I do *not* have my usual quiet peaceful morning to sit and write a Camp Scrap countdown post. WHOOOOPS. I really should schedule these posts ahead of time!

So, I’ll give you one last sneak peek photo, and promise to post the NEW video + project I meant to have up this morning (relatively) soon. After the assembly, luncheon, martial arts class, and supplies for their pool party. You know, just normal Thursday fun stuff. Speaking of fun stuff, here’s the sneaky peek…

I wish you very Happy Crafting- and welcome to the final countdown to Camp Scrap!! If you’ve not signed up and want to join us, there is still  plenty of time. Got questions? Feel free to ask!

Countdown to Camp Scrap: just 2 more weeks!

campscrap

It is Thursday – and that means it is Camp Scrap countdown day!!

Two weeks from today the classroom door will open and it’ll be ON! Oh my. I can hardly wait.

What I am truly excited about is getting the chance to hang out with my fellow crafters. To chat about what you’re making, help you with new ideas, see what you make, and just ENJOY the heck out of June. We’re going to have a great time. As promised, I chat a bit about make & takes and Camp Scrap, and craftiness in general in this (just under 5min) video.

I mention Gossamer Blue in the video – I’m excited to be their guest in June (projects + more coming here sooooon!) and you will see their March kit in action in week #1 of Camp Scrap (don’t worry – you can play along with ANY supplies!) as well. They’re a great company – I can’t wait to say more but that’s it from me for today.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask via email or in the comment section on my blog. If you’re in the mood for some crafty fun, I invite you to check out Camp Scrap. The class info can be found here.
