Card with 28 Lilac Lane and Lawn Fawn

Hey everyone, and happy June!

I’ve been playing with new Lawn Fawn stamps (even if just for a few minutes, I’ll always take a bit of coloring!) + my 28 Lilac Lane line. I think they’re a match made in heaven! I’m using pretty princess bottle from my line with the Lawn Fawn Believe in You stamp set. The background is just some swipes of watercolor on watercolor paper. Easy & quick!

For some accents I splattered some pink watercolor and gold mist. Once this was done I decided where to add seed beads and sequins (from princess bottle). Stitched & mounted – this card is ready to rock!

I really love how it turned out. My special bunny (jackalope?!) friend was colored in a similar way- just dropping watercolor and blotting it off! This is definitely a stamp set that I want to use a lot – such a great sentiment!!

heads up! I spotted my 28 Lilac Lane line at Simon Says Stamp! You can check it out here.

28 Lilac Lane blog hop

Hello everyone! Guess what? Today I’m thrilled to tell you that we’re having a 28 Lilac Lane blog hop! This hop starts here, goes through the five artists that have been playing with my new line and sharing ideas (thanks to those lovely ladies!) and ends at the Buttons Galore blog with a give-away. You’ll not want to miss out!

THANK YOU to everyone for the well wishes- being injured is no fun and as I type this I am hoping I’ll be all healed soon! But the good news for you is not only is my new line in stores, but we’ve got a full line up of inspiration and I have a new card and video to share. This card? I just LOVE how it turned out and I hope you do too. Here is a link to YouTube video

I used Hero Arts inks, floral stamp set, and of course the Just Peachy bottle of embellishments from the 28 Lilac Lane line. The adhesive I used is PPA by US Art Quest. 28 Lilac Lane is available in stores now! You can find it online and at local stores as well and I’m loving the positive response so far and how people are using these embellishments.

Remember keep hopping down the line- the next stop is Ashli aka soaphouse mama (link). Keep hopping too – because you’ll find a chance to win some treasure at the end!

Ice Resin + 28 Lilac Lane

Thanks for all the kind comments on my previous post – much appreciated!

Today I’ve got two video tutorials to share with you. Note that affiliate links are used in this post – and thank you in advance should you choose to use them they support this blog! No charge/extra anything if you do either. I just disclose it here to be upfront.

So first of all let me tell you that this was my first time EVER using Ice Resin! I’ve had it a while, and was pretty anxious about how it might work out. The big thing learned was that it can not be COOOOLD in your studio or the tiny bubbles will stay. (oh well, still love my results!) so without further ado first up is my pendant:

Love how that came out – and continuing to work with my paws & pets kit (available in stores now- including Ellen Hutson) I decided to get absolutely CRAZY and put hot glue on a glass lid to create a makeshift mold… and guess what? IT WORKED. Crazy! Here’s a link to that tutorial.

Here’s a photo of my finished jar – I absolutely love it!

Looking for what I used here? Ice Resin is available in stores including Ellen Hutson and Simon Says Stamp. I will be back with more tutorials in the future for sure – 28 Lilac Lane + Ice Resin is a match made in heaven!

Ashli Oliver has a great art journal post (here) and another on a mixed media scrapbook page.

Audrey Pettit has an awesome post here on her blog featuring fabric creations.

These two ladies are part of a group of creative that have a number of 28 Lilac Lane products ready to create, share, and inspire! No formal team here – just some ladies that always inspire me and that are known for sharing beautiful projects and posts all the time. And that want to share some 28 Lilac Lane fun as well!  Watch their blogs, along with Emma Williams, Chari Moss, and Nina-Marie Trapani for more inspiration. These ladies are also on instagram (Nina-Marie just posted this sneak!) as well as other social media channels if you want to check out more.

Of course if YOU create something with 28 Lilac Lane, spot it in your local shop or get some for yourself – do share! I’m wanting to share link-ups and give shout-outs to the whole creative community in these monthly (or so) posts. I’m so grateful for the outpouring of love and the strong response to my line so far – can’t wait to see what YOU MAKE!! So please, do share.

embrace the journey: horse card

This is one of the samples I made for CHA (for my new line 28 Lilac Lane) featuring the toasted graham bottle of embellishments. The whole card was done with distress ink + water. Really! The stamp used is one I found a while back at my local Michael’s.

Would you like to see a video how-to? Christine of ScrapTime filmed me at CHA and you can see it here!

Good brown embellishments are hard to find, so this bottle is a favorite for sure! Of course every one is a favorite. Want a fun fact about the Toasted Graham bottle? One of the colors is matched to my dog Scrappy’s chin – an area that we describe as graham colored.

The buttons & embellishments of 28 Lilac Lane will be coming to a store near you SO SOON! BE sure to check with your favorite shop if they’ve ordered- because the bottles begin shipping oh so soon and the kits are available/shipping now!
