leaf-spiration challenge

New week… new challenge!! Head over immediately (if you’ve not done so already) and visit Simon Says Stamp & Show – we’re inspired by leaves this week! This means you can make *ANY* project with any leaf (or leaf inspired in some way) anything even and enter it by posting it to flickr, your blog, or whatever for a chance to win. JOIN US! The rules + post can be found over at the Stamp & Show blog. You want to enter because it is fun, plus Simon Says Stamp gives away (randomly) a $50 voucher each week to one lucky entrant!!! You can get all the details at the blog here.

Here is my tag:

Suplies used:

This tag was a lot of fun to make – and easy too! A lot of distress ink coloring, and a lot of layering too. I do love adding little details!

Notes on how-to:

  • The main leaf was stamped with clear embossing powder then I used distress inks + perfect pearls mists over it (on book paper).
  • The flower was dipped in UTEE

I love fall, I love leaves, and while you don’t have to do a fall themed project to participate – it sure is fun! I’m off to blend more ink colors and celebrate the start of October…

  1. I’m right there with you! I adore Autumn as well! It’s my favorite season, actually! I love how this tag came together with the touch of velvet texture, warm colors, & crinkly newspaper it captures Fall perfectly!

  2. Yes, yes yes!!! Wholeheartedly agree. The flower was the first thing that caught my eye.

  3. Love the tag, and you reminded me that I have Utee flowers to finish and some to fix. I love the end result, but I need to find a pair of tweezers that truly are non stick.
