making the most of this: and a free seat in Spawn of True Scrap!

I’m not fussing over this now, but a few things happened with my lovely technology and bottom line is the beautiful 32minute class video I created for True Scrap is lost. OH – I have the video segments, the images, and of course my finished projects… but the finished video itself was ruined/destroyed/lost in a fit of temper by my beloved iPhone + computer.

*deep breath*

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZxzXPdapiY]

the “not enough room to export” is not the problem FYI – it’s the thing that led me down a road of no return. Not gonna focus on the messed up part. Just going to focus on seeing if indeed I can use this basic movie maker software that apparently I have (and just discovered last night in fit of “I hate technology this is so messed up!” rage) – and if it works, well, expect more fancy pants font work and such from me. If it doesn’t work? Not the end of the world. I’ll just have to re-do my class video.

Did I miss my calling to Hollywood?

Nah. But I am SO making lemonade outta  these lemons, actually maybe more like a lemon tart… yes… a sweet butter filled dessert of some kind because – oh yes – I am going to give one of you a seat at Spawn of True Scrap!!!

Just leave a comment here to be entered. Winner to be drawn on 9/20 – good luck!!!

Congrats to Jenny McGee!!! Your comment # was the lucky one drawn and you win! I have emailed you directly about your prize…

  2. Sorry about your video, what a bummer. Sometimes dealing with technology can be soooo frustrating.
Thanks for the giveaway! It does sound like lots of fun.

  3. Oh no, horrible news about the video! I’m sure you’ll make a wonderful video to the event. Maybe it will be even better (if that is possible) than the first one. I’d love to get the chance to participate in this True Scrap event! Thank you so much for the chance to win!

  4. Wishing you lots of luck in trying to get together your videos back..hope it works for you !!
    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  5. May I love your “tude. I truly need to remember your final decision of a lemon tart, sweet and creamy with a bit of sass. Which ever direction you take on this, I know it will work. I do need to ask, is this what happens when one over thinks something? I really, really, truly hope the random chooser picks me for The Spawn of True Scrap. I really want to spawn, but with so many birthday presents to purchase from August through October, the budget is very thin. If I do not win, I shall eat (birthday) cake.

    Have fun redoing your video.

  6. AWWW, sorry to hear about your video upset but it will all turn out fine!!!
I would love to spawn and it would make a great BD gift, as my birthday os on Halloween!!!

  7. OH NO!!! It is SO frustrating when technology doesn’t work right, but so blissful when it does =) I hope the Windows Movie Thingy (very technical I know) works for you.

Have a Blessed day ~~ Dawn

  16. Luckily for folks like you and me, Shel Silverstein wrote a poem you can quote in just such an occasion:

I wrote such a beautiful book for you
    ‘Bout rainbows and sunshine
    And dreams that come true.
But the goat went and ate it
    (You knew that he would),
So I wrote you another one
    Fast as I could.
Of course it could never be
    Nearly as great
    As that beautiful book
    That silly goat ate.
    So if you don’t like
This new book I just wrote-
    Blame the goat.

~From A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein
