May loves books. May believes books should be read, loved, and held. May is also sad that her Borders is closing, and a few days ago when she went in, she was distressed to see some of her favorite titles still sitting there, waiting for a good home. Poor things! Why haven’t they been chosen?!
sometimes May talks to her books, and refers to herself in third person. May is crazy. She tried to warn you…
So a few dollars later these (seriously discounted) five books came home with me, ready for new homes. This post holds FOUR give-aways in one!! on SATURDAY (20th) I will announce winners and next week mail the books to their new homes. Here’s the deal. These are FAVORITE – as in – 5 Star/A /fave reads. So take a look – and let me know which one(s) you might want to adopt…
Ye olde tale of tomboy-ish girl who decides to ‘target practice’ her efforts for landing a husband on her brother’s friend… only to fall madly in love with him. Tessa Dare’s first novel – and still one of my favorites from her.
My #1 FAVE Kinsella book – this one is about a girl on a plane who confesses ALL her deep dark secrets to stranger on plane only to find that stranger is owner of company she works for. And craziness + funny things ensue. I recommend this one – often.
Courtney Milan is a mad genius/artist with her words. AMAZING would be not strong enough a word to describe her books. This one? Can’t say enough or try to explain. It’s awesome ye olde England love story – full range of emotion and soooo fantastic.
Thea Harrison writes dark, plot twisty, utterly fantastic Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance. ZOMG! Crazy good. So far just 2 books – and yes they’re the start of a series… and winner will get BOTH books. Just read #2 (Storm’s Heart) and loved it.
So what’s your pleasure? Tell me what you prefer, or if any at all would be nice and I’ll throw all names in hat + pick winners on 8/20. Good luck! I hope to send these awesome books to good homes soon…

I’m always looking for a good read! I’m a big Kinsella fan and have read all of hers, so either Dare or Milan would be my top 2 picks. Cool giveaway!!
The Sophie Kinsella book sounds good. Thanks for the chance. 🙂
wow. super nice of you! It is sad, Borders closing; they just didn’t develop a good online presence to go with the actual store imho. Kinsella sounds fun 🙂 The others sound good, too, tho. I’m for just tossing everyone’s name in the hat, but it’s all good 🙂 thx!
Hi May, They all sound really fun, I’ll wait for the giveaway, just in case, but then I think I might just order all of them from amazon. thanks for the suggestions.
You have picked one of my favorite pastimes….reading. Can You Keep a Secret sounds intriguing, so that would be my pick. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting in my lounge chair and reading a book in the wee morning hours with my favorite cup of coffee of course.
Thanks for a great giveaway!
Hi May, any of these books would be great to win. I’ve really enjoyed some of your recent reading recommendations!
Lol! May, you crack me up! You also got me hooked on these romance books. I am eagerly waiting the new Courtney Milan one. I would love to win the Tessa Dare book- haven’t read her yet. I was in Borders yesterday and picked up Meg Cabots Good Night Charlie-so far so great! Every Julia Quinn book was sold out.
As another book/read lover, I feel your pain. Our book stores are a thing of the past too. I have read all of Kinsella’s books, but would love to make a “home” for any of the others. Thanks for the chance and love your blog.
May, I love that you admit and embrace your crazy side! Who doesn’t refer to themselves in the third person? I haven’t read any of these, they all sound great! I’m up for any of them!
Hi May! That one called ‘Can you keep a secret?’ sounds really interesting… (*ellen likes books, too….*) LOL. what a great thing, giving away books…. you rock… 🙂
I’d love to read any of them! Thanks for the chance to win…I love reading! 😉

I’ve read the Thea books, Goddess of the Hunt looks good! Or Unveiled! I am sad, but our Borders closed last year, so I didn’t get to grab any of the spectacular deals. 🙁

May – I have read ” Can you keep a secret?” and loved it, but not read any of the others. Sorry Borders is closing. We don’t have a bookstore in our mall anymore and I think that is just plain wrong.
I’d be excited to read Goddess of the Hunt – sounds very interesting. I’m just finishing The Help. What a fun contest.
I have loved everything you have recommended – reading through a Jennifer Cruise bundle on my kindle now. It is very sad about Borders closing, they were my favorite store.

Thank you for such a generous opportunity to win a book. I adore Historical Romance books which always transport me back to another time and place where people lived, loved and were finding their way to each other.
I’ve read all of Tessa’s books which I completely and utterly loved. If I’m lucky enough to be chosen, then I would love to read Courtney Milan’s “Unveiled”.

If this international, please count me in.
I would love to bring home Unveiled by Courtney Milan

Each of these books, from you description, sound like something I would like to read, although I believe my first choice would be Can You Keep A Secret. Thanks for the interesting giveaway.
Thanks May. This is my first time here and what a perfect time! I love Tessa Dare’s Goddess of the Hunt. My daughter is a tom-boy and this book reminds me of her. Now her brother had told all his friends that she is off limits. You have put a smile on my face for today at least.
