altered book class preview…

I’m teaching this Mysteries of a Girl Sleuth altered book class today in Berkeley, and then at Stamper’s Corner  (July 30 – call store for your spot!) and I might bring it back in the fall as a Christmas/holiday journal/12 days of Christmas mini type book? We’ll see. I was in video mode today… you see this class? it comes with access to the videos of me making the whole book here at home. Maybe 1 1/2hrs worth of footage? (If you want it!) – just something new I’m trying. Here’s me talking about it…

I should have a few kits available for sale later this weekend – I’ll post when I’ve got that done!

In the meantime – I’d love your thoughts. Unedited video of me making class project/sample + getting kit in mail for when you can’t make it? Good idea? Bad? Suggestions?

  1. Oooh, totally yummy, May! Would love to get a kit and ‘do’ the class via the videos (as it’s an awful long way from NZ to CA!).

  2. would totally love to buy a kit and would love the video – edited or not! I’ve been wanting to try something like this for awhile now. way fun and super cute.

  3. OK totally love this idea! I’ve followed along with the videos from the classes I’ve taken from you and found them to be very easy to watch and understand. Like i’ve said before, you have opened up a whole new world of scrapping to me by having your incredible blog and sharing with us. Ihave almost no access to scrapping except by internet so i truly appreciate these opportunities! THanks MAY

  4. This is awesome May! I would totally love to be able to buy a kit and “take” the class via video. I hope you decide to do this!

  5. I’m SO glad that this is getting a positive response – I’m going to work on doing more videos for classes FOR SURE then!!!

  6. OK – just my sense of humor – couldn’t skip over your “private video” – “reprase that” comment. Pretty funny.

  7. May, what a great idea! I love that adorable book. It is so cute. I love the idea of your videos to go along with the kits for those of us that live way too far!.

  8. Love this idea! Where do you find your Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys books? If you said it in the video, I didn’t catch it. I wish I still had mine from when I was a kid.

  9. I love, love, love that idea!!!
Right now I’m doing a video class with Christine from Scrap Time – she has over 20 videos showing how she uses the QK “Fashion Doll” dies and it’s fantastic.
So I would love the idea of a whole video class – with or without a kit

  10. May, may I once again say you are one totally awesome, creative, gifted artist and entrepreneur? The video for the kit is genius. I am axiously awaiting your posting of this on etsy.
