Scarlet Lime: frugal kit August 2010

Have you seen www.scarletlime.com has ‘frugal fab’ kits now? Such a great deal – and such a lovely kit this month too…

much fun was had working with the textures and patterns and all that pink…

Cutting out the flowers and swirls was remarkably fast work thanks to my crazy sharp Tonic scissors.

I really loved the pebbles chipboard pieces in the kit – glittered and lovely and fabulous.

On this page I used three 3/4″ strips of the blue patterned paper to edge the white. I didn’t use a full sheet. (trying to stretch it out – so lovely!)

I will tell you sewing the thin cord onto the page is very do-able… once you have it figured out. big zig-zag stitches work, with some liquid adhesive at the very ends to add some hold once you’re all done.

  1. as always love love your layouts. I’m really thinking about taking your class in sept except I start working full time-ick and should probably not be doing anything crafty but I have a lot of stuff I need to use up!

  2. just listened to your intro to your next class. I’m going all in and doing it! It’s been a long time since I’ve taken any kind of creative class I’m excited!
