Nook & Pantry Berry page

This is the layout I made at the crop in Concord –

034

Something I like to do at crops is put the ‘flat’ together, then add stitching/stamping/lumpy stuff back at home so I don’t have to haul that stuff with. Incomplete pages are good things at crops I think. I did all the paper + stickers at the crop then finished off the page at home last night with stitching, ribbon, buttons, and rhinestones.

This is Basic Grey’s new (sigh, swoon) Nook & Pantry line. The berry stickers made me simply need to use these photos from berry picking with them.

I can’t wait to do more with this line. Lots more.

home, 2 winners, more tba…

Steph Vetne & Eva – you both win the quilted corners border/corner punch. Since I’m so delayed here I decided to pick 2 names. 🙂 E-mail me (mflaum @ comcast . net) to claim your prize – and please include a mailing address.

So first, thank you all for the kind wishes. Between comments here, on facebook, twitter, and in my e-mail I’m so overwhelmed and thankful for your kind words.  We are home, and Elizabeth is getting better each day. The struggle over last 36hrs or so has been to keep her RESTING and not running around the house. That takes a lot of time and energy as you can imagine. The other struggle has been staying awake, as I think 8hrs is the total I got over the three days of hospital time. Last night I sent myself to bed at 8pm – and today I’m glad for it. Finally feeling human again!

I’ve got a LOT in store to share here – so as soon as I get my Big Picture ‘homework’ turned in, I’ll be back!

Crop re-cap:

So I went to the crop in the C&T publishing warehouse today (in Concord, CA) and had a great time. They had cool make & takes going all day (I watched a few – very neat!) and of course we could crop. I sat at the second table (with a view of that CUTE happy baby!) and I liked being able to chat with some great ladies I’ve not seen for a long time – and a few I met for the first time too. Jen Muller & her two friends sat at a table with me and they were great  crop-table sharers.

I made three pages – not tons but not too bad for 5 hours considering all the chatting! I really didn’t take photos – was having too much fun chatting and enjoying the moment. Of course now I wish I’d taken photos with a lot of the ladies there. Why didn’t I? ARG! Oh well, it’s what I call event-itis where I just can’t bring myself to ask someone to stand for a photo. It’s weird, I know. Anyhow- I wouldn’t have this photo except Angela insisted.

I’m glad she did. Funny story? When I walked up to the crop she glanced at me and said “hi” then turned back to her work setting up. I was thinking… “Ok, I guess she’s too busy to chat right now or even greet me by name…” and then she turned back around and said she hadn’t recognized me!!!  40 or so lbs lost + big time haircut will do that to a girl I guess.

Karen (aka LadyDoc) brought everyone these. How cute is that? A scallop circle punch of paper over top and m&ms – so cute and I’m enjoying them now from home.

Tomorrow after I finish up the layout I made (that I can share) I’ll post it here + a give-away of the crop bag I got today! yep- I’m sharing with you… quite a lot, actually. Stay tuned!
