Crop re-cap:

So I went to the crop in the C&T publishing warehouse today (in Concord, CA) and had a great time. They had cool make & takes going all day (I watched a few – very neat!) and of course we could crop. I sat at the second table (with a view of that CUTE happy baby!) and I liked being able to chat with some great ladies I’ve not seen for a long time – and a few I met for the first time too. Jen Muller & her two friends sat at a table with me and they were great  crop-table sharers.

I made three pages – not tons but not too bad for 5 hours considering all the chatting! I really didn’t take photos – was having too much fun chatting and enjoying the moment. Of course now I wish I’d taken photos with a lot of the ladies there. Why didn’t I? ARG! Oh well, it’s what I call event-itis where I just can’t bring myself to ask someone to stand for a photo. It’s weird, I know. Anyhow- I wouldn’t have this photo except Angela insisted.

I’m glad she did. Funny story? When I walked up to the crop she glanced at me and said “hi” then turned back to her work setting up. I was thinking… “Ok, I guess she’s too busy to chat right now or even greet me by name…” and then she turned back around and said she hadn’t recognized me!!!  40 or so lbs lost + big time haircut will do that to a girl I guess.

Karen (aka LadyDoc) brought everyone these. How cute is that? A scallop circle punch of paper over top and m&ms – so cute and I’m enjoying them now from home.

Tomorrow after I finish up the layout I made (that I can share) I’ll post it here + a give-away of the crop bag I got today! yep- I’m sharing with you… quite a lot, actually. Stay tuned!

I really have to learn how to pack for a crop – I end up trying to fit everything into the boot of the car and running back and forth. Between that and chatting I don’t usually get a lot done lol.

Thanks for telling about it here, because I had a great time… REALLY nice people, Fiskateers!

  15. You are so beautiful. I can’t believe you were in Concord. That is only 45 minutes away from me. Wish I’d known:)

  16. Great to see you again at the crop! Thanks for taking a photo of the M&M’s. I, of course, forgot to take a photo of them. I missed getting a photo of you before you left so I’m glad you took this photo, too. Now I can be complete when I scapbook the day! I’ve posted my photos on my Facebook wall.

Glad y’all had a good time.

  18. I guess I had event-itis because I totally wanted a picture with you and spaced and then you were gone. Look at me actually working in that picture…I did one page all day – but I did have fun watching my sister-in-law play with all my stuff.

I’ve gotten really inspired over the last few days and I’d like to give you some of the credit! Looking at your pages and your technique the other day was sooooo inspiring! I’m now going to be following your blog as well! Thanks for sharing your creativity!

  21. Wow May you look great! Funny I was just at a crop on saturday but since I was there to work (as a vendor showing off Close To My Heart products) I didn’t get any cropping in at all.

  22. You look FABULOUS May! Congrats on the huge weight loss. You look great! It’s so nice not to have the “new” you recognized.

  23. Oh my gosh, May!! I saw this photo of you and Ang on the Fiskateer blog and had to come right over here and tell you how AMAZING you look. WOWZERS!! I’m so proud of you. I remember when your journey to ‘lose’ began. That’s so inspiring. I wish I could have been at the crop. Missed ya at the last one in Reno because of snow and this time it’s just plain ol’ summer business!

Just read about Miss Em, too. No fun. I’ll prayin’ for a quick recovery for her!

    Hugs,
    Julie O.
