MM jan/feb

I was asked to do a hybrid layout (do-able in under 1hr) for the jan/feb Memory Makers issue. I was surprised and thrilled that two of my favorites- Heidi Grace and Basic Grey- blended so well together.

and the digital element from Katie Pertiet? Ahhhh I do love her stuff (www.designerdigitals.com)

003

not to mention the scallop heart punch from Fiskars that I lurve…

In fact, I have an XL scallop heart squeeze punch (as shown above!) that I’d like to give away. Just leave a comment here to be entered!

  1. Oh so cute May! I love the “cluster” effect of the hearts! That must be one super neat punch! I need to invest in some new circle punches myself.

  2. Love the digi part…I would love to learn how to incorporate something like that into my pages…

  3. Oh, I hit enter to quick. Just wanted to ask, did you ink the edges of the hearts and dearly or trace around them? I like how that looks.

  4. OH May, have I mentioned lately how much I Lurve you ! LOL

The LO is beyond gorgeous…love those colors!

I ♥ squeeze punches and a scallop ♥ punch would be fantabulous!

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  5. What a great page! That heart punch would be awesome – I can’t find the scallop punches around here.

  6. I haven’t seen the scallop heart punch before…it really gives it such a nice touch. And I’ve only got one circle punch so getting a shaped and scalloped punch would be awesome. Thanks for giving one away!

  7. Oh my goodness, what an awesome prize! I keep checking at the stores for these punches with no luck. I love it in your LO!

  8. That grouping of scalloped hearts on your page is almost as sweet as that photo of your girls with “Auntie”!

  9. I love the page, I really like the digatal elements. I am still to scared to give it a try, I have your book and I downloaded the trial adobe, but thats as far as i got. Let me ask you, where do you print you l/o? How do you feel about the ink cost vs. the cost of traditional supplies? I was thinking about getting a program like memory makers, have you tried it? what do you think? Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful layout.

  10. Beautiful page! I have not tried digital scrapping yet..but I will some day. I’ve been searching for the scallop punches and haven’t been able to find them…would love to win one!

  11. Your layout is absolutely gorgeous! Sure would love to get one of those punches..we never see those around here. They are so cute.

  12. I Love the page…looks great. The hearts are so much fun and watch an easier way to create them…a PUNCH!!! Thanks for the chance to win one!

  13. You did such a great job. Can you tell us more about how you did the digital part? The colors are great. What did you use for the titles?

  14. Wow, wow, wow! Love the layout. So beautiful! So pretty. So gorgeous. Just the right thing for Valentine. Love to win the punch to make some of those lovely scallop hearts. Pick me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee…..

  15. Great page! At first sight I cannot decide which is the digital part and wihch one is the traditional. Wonderful job (under one hour? wow).

  16. Love this idea. I just bought Photoshop so hopefully I too, will get into this Hybrid scrapping.

    Love all the different colours.

  17. I have been enjoying using some of my older punches lately. They had been just waiting for me to get around to them! The heart punch is really a cute one. Cindy

  18. The punch would be great for Valentine cards. Awesome layouts. Thanks for the chance to win!

  19. Love the LO and punch! BUT what is digital on the page–I thought digital layouts were done on the computer????? I am so computer stupid that is why I do paper scrapbooking!

  20. Oh I love this! I’m now inspired to create a wall canvas like this one. I usually don’t like punches, but the scalloped heart is quite inspiring.

  21. Great LO! I love the bluish grey background, it makes the red just pop. And red is my favorite color so this time of year seems to keep me happy. Thanks for sharing.

  22. Wow! Love the digi elements you chose to use. Give your LO a little somethin’ extra special. And those scalloped hearts, hello! Oh how I covet those!

  23. Love the layout. I saw it when I got my magazine and listed it as one of my Fiskars sightings. (I think the sighting should count double since you made, don’t you 🙂

  24. May – what a sweetheart you are. I dont have any of the scallop punches and hearts are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Thanks for a chance to win this since I havent seen them in person yet at any of my local stores. Great layout.

  25. May this is a stunning page love the colors and those hearts are just so cool. I was wondering what you did to the edges also.

  26. What a pretty page. I also love all the little details on the sneak pages a few posts down. I have never seen a heart scalloped punch. How cute would that be to make little handmade Valentine’s?

  27. I cant find those scallp punches anywhere I would love a chance. Great Page I love the entire thing. How cool are you to have Jennifer McGuire comment on your blog. You rock May!!!!

  28. I have already posted above BUT wanted let you know that I show your LO in the magazine (pg 34 everyone) and I love the timesaving tip!

  29. You are such an enabler! Now I HAVE to make a trip to Cosco to check out that bench. I’m trying, trying, trying to make ’09 the year I use the products I have and buy less. I told myself I only need to get the Fragment tags and the ginormous green Marvy 3.5 inch square punch before I quit buying but now….I just might need a scallop heart punch…..and a saw some pretty fab Fiskars border punches on a CHA sneek peek….

And about your MM layout….thanks for posting it here. The magazine pic didn’t do it justice. I really appreciate the detail up close.

  30. As always another gorgeous layout. I’m working on revamping my studio for the new year too. Having a small space makes you work harder to come up with creative storage ideas. Love the new punch!
