Mr. Raven

I thought I had posted this card already, but I can find it nowhere and now I think that I just forgot to do it. Life has been, oh, just a *tad* busy since I made it after all!

This is a card I made for Stamper’s Anonymous and can be seen in their catalog. Pretty cool stuff! What I love about these blueprint stamps, what makes me never get tired of them is how much fun they are to color. It’s like little coloring pages for inky crafters. On this one I used distress markers, a water brush, and misted water too. I really had fun making the feathers range from dark almost black to a lighter blue.

Oh man I do love these travel blueprint stamps! For this one I did some watercolor effects with the little airmail stamp on specialty stamping paper, then I also stamped the background with the big compass…

This is a card, but I think it would work well as a potential mini book too!

Welcome to February. [love card]

Happy February! To kick things off, here’s a card I made for Stamper’s Anonymous (Tim Holtz stamps)…

I had so much fun layering bits and pieces and making this card that isn’t quite like any other I’ve done before – I don’t usually get into shaped cards…

The tissue is layered onto the cardstock, then picket fence distress stickles over that. The stamped images? Colored, cut out, and attached with the brad.

Card: Tim Holtz globe

It was an honor and a pleasure to create cards for the Stampers Anonymous booth at CHA this year – truly I had an absolute blast. Did I really create more than 20 cards in about a week?! Yes, yes I did. I will be sharing many of them here on my blog – today I want to share one of my favorites using the travel inspired blueprint stamps. Now the globe stamp does NOT match up with the globe die cut, but seriously since when did I ever care about getting something perfect? Oh yeah, I don’t! I just like the way it looks, and I stamped it after coloring the globe die with stains…
