Creativation 2019: Favorite Products

I am home and unpacked from the Creativation trade show in Phoenix, and I’m ready to talk some faves! You can find a lot of photos on my Instagram – I tried to post as I gathered faves. In this article (there are a few affiliate links) I will share some things I’m most excited to get and use, as well as why!

Thibra Plastic sculptable sheets are awesome – and can be found in stores. This stuff is good for anything from frames (above) to costumes to jewelry. Watch for videos from me soon – I’ve ordered some from amazon.

There were a lot of lovely patterned papers – all my favorite American Crafts designers and lines to Simple Stories, Doodlebug, and other paper companies. Watch Scrapbook.com for the latest and greatest paper lines – I know they’ve got a bunch coming in!

Especially loving hedgehogs in Amy Tangerine’s new line!
Shimelle’s “Sparkle City” is so lovely – these thickers have iridescent foil and are based on foam and colored on the sides so they are extra lovely!!
Paige Evans wowed me especially with all these globe stamps!

What I really liked at the show was how everyone was creating their own things, doing their own best. There really weren’t show wide motifs or trends – my preference! From super cute Doodlebug to intriguing mixed media we saw a wider range in general.

The new Prima farm line is so cute- and my MUST from that are these wooden embellishments. TOO cute!
Dina Wakley has some fun new stamps, but my favorite of hers has to be this Media Journal that has SUPER THICK pages. I love the size and the thicker than 1mm pages that would allow for some really fun experiments!
Speaking of fun – we’ve got to talk Balzer Designs! Julie’s stencils always rock! This one is my favorite it will be so useful and fun! (The Crafters Workshop)

Speaking of fun – I’m excited to play with a wide variety of materials and show you so many more projects in 2019! Rebecca has asked about more Diamond Dots projects…

Dachshund to dragons – Diamond dots has awesome new patterns!
We are all super excited to see Disney patterns hit the stores!
Speaking of cool – WeRMemory Keepers has a very cool new foil tool!

If you want to see video coverage of all the booths (or nearly all!) you’ll definitely need to check out my friend Christine of Scrap Time! She has dozens of videos already up and does the best job covering the floor. You can check her out here.

Tim Holtz came out with these AWESOME metal flat backs. LOVE them!
Fiskars came out with both scissors that are true beast mode cutters, and a trimmer that blew me away. Stay tuned for reviews!

Speaking of fun stuff – for stamps/stamping accessories definitely keep an eye on EllenHutson.com  Her site is my go-to for stamping, ink, and all kinds of fun stuff and their shipping is so fast!

Lawn Fawn, as always brought the cute with new stamps and adorable samples!
Ink Road is now selling their stamps wholesale (yay!) so we’ll be seeing them soon and I am excited! She makes great fan stamps (Disney, pop culture shows/movies) and they have such sass and are so fun – as well as pretty ones like this set!
James Burke has a line of face building stamps coming – and I’m super excited about the creative potential for these!

Basically friends, everything you have seen here you should expect to see me use as soon as I can! The show was so full of creativity and fun new things and I am excited to play with all these new craft products and MORE! I’d love to hear your favorites if you have some from recent sneak peeks – I’m sure I’ve missed even more must have items.

What kind of crafting will 2019 bring for you? For me, for now I will be scrapbooking to finish up a few albums! Stay tuned for a whole lot more fun…

  1. Dina’s new collage book and her new 6×6 watercolor journal are top of my list! James burke is such a favorite of mine and have been following him since the beginning of his creative journey. His new stamp release will be such a blast and certainly will boost our creative mojo 🙂

  2. Thanks for taking all the pics at Creativation 2019! Fun to see all the goodness in store for us!

  3. I too loved those hedgehogs in Amy Tangerine’s new line! And I can’t wait to order the whole Sparkle City line too!

  4. I am looking forward to seeing your projects! I am working on the end of 2018 PL and to start 2019. I have started making some cards, but am a total novice. I can’t get everything i like from New releases, but I like the journal you mentioned, one of Simon Hurley’s stencils, and I want a couple more distress oxide inks. I’ve been working in my art journal a lot. I’ve re-discovered the pleasure of playing around in it. Michelle t
