“Hello” card

Don’t worry, I’m not over Christmas. However… some new stamps & dies just released by Simon Says Stamp got sent my way – and they got me thinking in pink + white!

I’ve been doing more with foil cardstock (we’ll chat more on that another day), and I had some scraps left so I went ahead and die cut the heart strip out with it. Love it! I also painted + stamped onto the die before adding it to the card.

My background is a mix of blended ink, paint at the edges, and a bit of stamped chevron too. The color is Picked Raspberries (ink + paint) OF COURSE – because it is a universally acknowledged fact in this house that it is the best color of distress and that I like to think of it as my personal color of distress.

The new die set is here, and the stamps can be found here. Thanks to Simon for sending these my way to play with – and for getting me crafting something other than red and green this week!

  1. I remember your Distress color! It’s a beautiful card! Love. I don’t have anything to use for dies, but still love seeing all the new things. You know I also love how the sequins and embellishments go down Ali Nguyen the one side. That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card. Michelle t

  2. Nice card! I’ve been working in reds & pinks & blacks & whites this week, creating Valentine’s Day cards for a class I’m teaching at our (not-so) LSS in late January.
