Challenge: Transportation

There are days when I’m pretty sure it would be amazing to have wings as a transportation option.

So this week I’ve dreamed up this colorful tag that uses a (rarely used) texture folder as well as some gears and fun sprays. The background is Tim Holtz Spray Stains + sunflower sparkle mist. The black is just a bit of ink rubbed on… and you know? I love this tag.

the sparkle + metals + color… love this combo. I am trying to think of more to say, but this simple tag speaks for itself!

  1. Beautiful and inspiring. It’s lovely. I love the blues and greens together like that, and mixed with the metal and texture, awesome. Michelle t

  2. I love the colors, too, and all the different textures. My favorite part is the bit of blue lace. Adds a bit of femme frippery to a more masculine looking project.

I do have a question. What is your opinion on the new spray stains vs. the older stains. I think the sprays would be a great supply to have in my stash, but it’s a bit of an investment I don’t want to make before I get the opinion of someone who’s used both and knows their paper-crafting! 🙂

Thanks, May. You always bring the inspiration!

  3. LOVE it! From the beautifully blended colors in the background with a hint of shimmer to the randomly artistically spaced embellishments! Fabulous!

  4. So cool – I love the colours and love the wing. You’ve just given me an idea for some bookmarks I want to make!

  5. May, I have a garage full of nuts and bolts never thought of using them on my mixed media.. A little alcohol ink for color.. Thanks for the inspiration, as always. Hope December is good to you.

  6. I really love how your tag turned out, May! I thought it was so clever of you to use one wing instead of a set of wings. I always feel morally obligated to use two wings, but you’ve just proven that one wing gives a fresh new look that is fabulous!
