trend | confetti burst

It is Monday June 11, and you know what that means – Camp Scrap is here!

Tune in every day for a new post – you can see the welcome post + basic info for Camp Scrap here, and of course you’re welcome to join the Big Picture community here too.

Let’s get this party started with some confetti burst inspiration!  Here is a page I created for the Creative Crop at Big Picture – it was my first attempt at a confetti-like burst:

Since then, I’ve really fallen in love with the idea of the embellishment burst, and I’ve come up with a system that works really well for me!

What you’ll need is some sequins, rhinestones, pearls, tiny punched paper, confetti, or other small accents. Tiny buttons, beads, even brads can work too. The point is that you’re gathering small things of varying size, shape, and material.

I created a brand new layout today for Camp Scrap featuring the tags + buttons of the always fabulous www.shopevalicious.com to share with you:

Also to kick off Camp Scrap – I’ve made a video for you. I am sharing my process for how I’m doing these little confetti bursts, where I’m putting them, and why I love them so much.

I love that it can be planned out even to the point of purposely placing certain colors, but also that it is fun like a burst of laughter and probably should not be over thought. Great way to use all the fun little pieces of embellishments. Thank you for sharing.
