I’m hosting ‘march madness’ for a few days. What is it? Well it’s a lot of prizes!!! I’ll be posting stuff over there on the blog + message board. So if I’m MIA over here… you know where to find me!
I’ve never been a penguin fan. I don’t dislike them- I just don’t especially love them. Then I walked into Donna Jean’s store up in Carson City. (www.countypurrfarm.blogspot.com) and found penguins- memory box style.
Memory box is a company that I’ve loved since back in my local scrapbook store managing days. LOVE their stamps and their cute but not too cute style. (know what I mean?) Anyhow, Donna Jean had a lot of their yummy goodies in stock and I had to buy a few things. Some 6×6 paper packs, and these two stamps.
Amy bought the pirate one. We are talking about getting together to crop and celebrate penguin cuteness. (and have cupcakes, for sure). I can’t wait! Oh, and if you’re wondering why it took me a week to mention my wee little stamps that would be because I just unpacked them. Yes, I’ll admit it took nearly a week to empty my bag. Right now I’m off to party with the artist one + pics of Miss Elizabeth painting.
After that I’ll probably make up a wish list of stamps I want from memory box… so much cuteness!
I have a rule- target every 2 weeks at most. Unless there is an emergency situation. Then, when I go it’s a full hour love fest of all that is new and fun and cool. I truly love Target. Where else can I get new gym pants (ugh!), diapers, baby food, Bee Movie (next week for E), cereal, new pillowcases, tylenol for the teething one, and more? Not only that, but they are always putting in rockin’ cool stuff. ALWAYS! I get all excited when I have a trip like today where I’ve not been in for… well at least 3 weeks. probably more like 5 weeks!
Item #1 that caught my eye:
It cracks me up. Not sure if it’ll give a good pucker- but I am a sucker for both lip gloss and funny packaging.
The rest of the shopping cart was fairly routine and dull. Elizabeth was over the moon to find herself the new owner of paints (finger and water color). As she spent yesterday using every drop of paint in the house.
her studio is in the garage. She loves when daddy is at work and she has space to get arty. Speaking of E… she’s up and asking for cupcakes and paints. That’s my girl!
Sophie Kinsella (author of the shopaholic series, among other things) has a new book out. I swore I was not going to read it until my studio was clean, then I swore I would read 1 chapter per every hour of cleaning… eventually though I gave in and surrendered to the book. That always happens around chapter 4.
It’s a good read. Happy, uplifting, and she didn’t always do what I expected. Lots of funny moments and if you’re a fan I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I like it a whole lot.
Ok, but now I seriously have to get back to work…
but first an enabler link. (ha ha)
Rebecca, becca, bex, becca bear, bear… she has many names. I totally forgot about this moment until I just uploaded.
dude. Elizabeth put daddy’s hat on her head and I guess I was standing there with the camera. This just so tickles my funny bone. NO idea what colors/how I’ll scrap it. Just one of those nutty baby photos that I know she’s gonna LOVE as a teenager… maybe it’ll even be her baby pic in the yearbook, who knows…
