I’m here-

First off i owe a prize drawing and that winner is Samantha! (little clear box full ‘o treasure). e-mail me (mflaum at comcast . net) to claim your prize.

So I’ve been MIA  for quite a few days, egads over a week! First I was super busy with all the prize shipping and such from my BPS crop, and then I got (still have) weird sick thing going on. I’m still not on real food (just bread, oatmeal, water, and gatorade really) but starting to feel a bit better.

I’ll be back for a real post soon as I have something interesting- oh! and I have a few new prizes too.

Happy Monday!

my idea of Valentine’s Day.

Remember being in school and giving out little loves to everyone in class? Conversation hearts, chocolates, and paper valentines for everyone.

In our family, Valentine’s day has always been about love. Not just romance, but love for family, friends, and anyone else that you cherish. This is the focus I’ve always had on Valentine’s day, and I think it’s a good one because no matter what is going on in my life there is always someone I cherish and love and can be happy to have in my life.

I got the girls (because I couldn’t resist!) each a baby my little pony. It goes without saying they are LOVING “balen-times” already. We haven’t even gotten to the snickerdoodles portion of the day…

Have a happy day, and may it be filled with love!

warm on a rainy day

Got this month’s Scarlet Lime kit, and so I was inspired to scrap something warm and floral. PERFECT since it’s a dreary/rainy day here!

Love the American Crafts thickers (green polka dot) + my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch. What did I do before this punch? I really don’t know.

Plus the papers and stamp that come in a Scarlet Lime kit? AHHHHH. creative happiness. =)

Now I’m back to my class at Big Picture, and maybe a bit more creating once I clean up my mess!

3 3/4 baby.

It’s one of my new favorite sizes to crop photos.  3 3/4″ square. If you’re in my seasons class then you already know that- it’s in this week’s handout. Inspired by that, here’s a layout I made with the SUPER FANTASTIC Cosmo Cricket christmas line + my trusty (fave) border punch upper crest by Fiskars.

This paper is one ofmy faves right now. That little green + red design? GAH! love it!!! Loving Cosmo Cricket’s new stuff too… can’t wait to reward myself in 11 more pounds lost with the purchase of it…

I know not everybody celebrates Valentine’s day, and not everyone is in a romantic relationship either. I still vote that the spirit of Valentine’s day can and should be celebrated. It doesn’t have to be about the retail purchases or jewelry. Let’s focus on the LOVE people! For a niece, a grandma, a friend, a sister, or just doing something nice for a co-worker who seems to need it. As a part of this “V-day” challenge over at my class I created this layout:

I used versamark ink to stamp (Fiskars) diamond pattern on the background in a few spots- love that result. Also I used Claudine Hellmuth’s sticky back canvas for my photo mat (cut out with a Fiskars rotary scallop blade) that I then layered on several colors of paint and ink. (LOVE Claudine’s stuff!)

So that’s my Valentine inspired page. I’m happy to have finally scrapped this photo of my sister, niece, and me.
