zoolander fabulousness

Want to know what I’m watching right now as I settle in for some good creating time? Zoolander. One of my fave funnies that I like to listen to (ok, and quote along with) whilst creating. I’ll share what I created and what inspired it later. For now, you might want to catch a bit of Zoolander. (don’t forget to do “the look”)

I have a love/hate relationship here.

with technology. For SO LONG I resisted my husband’s offer of setting up outlook. Then, the day came when I had to manage multiple accounts and so I said fine. Now? I love it. Can’t imagine life without it.

today, since 5am when I turned it on… it isn’t working. Some jibberish about not being able to connect to the network to send messages. But I still get messages. It suddenly reminds me of Sex and the City when Mr. Big is talking about “She can always reach me, but I can never reach her…” I can receive, but not send. ARG! I have no idea what’s up with this or when it will be fixed. I am assuming it’ll fix itself, as when I log into my ISP’s website and try to get support I get a bunch of site down/overload junk. Hmmm.

and I have a LOT to do. Plans to make, stores to confirm, contest winners to notify. (sigh) Perhaps this is the internet gods way of saying “take that break from the laptop you promised yourself!” Whatever it is, I want it to end! ASAP! But until then I’ll just close up this sucker and take my coke in a bottle (from Mexico- so it’s made with REAL sugar- not just sugary syrup!) upstairs and create. Yeah. create sounds good…

(photo taken last week when I had my weekly coke outside while working… love the laptop so much. How did I live before it?)

my craftivity

toolbarlogo2.gifHave you checked out www.mycraftivity.com? I joined up a few weeks ago, and I think it’s going to be a really great community. In fact, Aud and I have stopped blogging at the ‘book blog’ we started and each will have a home page/blog where we talk about hybrid scrapbooking over there now. There are a lot of F&W authors, editors, and of course crafters from every dicipline. I think it’s a really great resource and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow. SO easy to use and I love all the features too.

Their logo makes me happy too, and I think it will be a very inspiring place. Until next time… happy crafting!

don't mess with the system.

Our march madness bracket stuff started when Elizabeth was 3 weeks old. Confined to the couch most of the time- we had time. So, we made a game and started picking games (and watched most games since we were all home!) and it was fun. Since then, it’s become tradition. I’ve predicted upsets and beat the guys more than once. My system is just as good as their special columns, blogs, and analysts. What am I talking about? What is my secret?

I choose favorites purely on my feminine whim. I base it on team colors, mascots, names, and if there’s somebody I don’t like. Yeah, I’m serious and I do pretty well and have fun. I promise to come back soon and talk about something more fun. Right now I’ve gotta wear game-face as I write down all my ‘research’ (mascots and such…) and ignore “mr right” who keeps offering assistance. Don’t I want to see some faves? don’t I want to read some columns?

nope. I’ll take my chances with lady luck as I choose my march madness bracket… I might loose… or I might beat them all! HA!
