I love a good technique – this is no exception! You see I watercolored this background originally on a piece of paper that had been stenciled with paste. Then I discovered I could “stamp” it onto cardstock with the help from some Distress Spray (Picket Fence) and make prints. Oh, Oh so HAPPY! I adore how this card turned out too!
Here is the video for this technique –

Oh, May! You are always such an innovator! I love seeing the clever things you come up with and appreciate the instructions on how you did them. THis card is fabulous and is different from most watercolor creations I see. it is unique and lovely and I love how it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration, as usual.
I saw the video yesterday when I was checking your you tube. Love how you turned it into a pretty Easter card. The watercolor background came out so lovely. Definitely trying this. Thanks. Michelle t
The best ideas come from playing around and yours is fantastic. Beautiful soft and pretty card!
LOVE that card! So exciting… now I wonder how that technique would look if you used Gold Lame.
very clever! Makes a lovely card, too.
OH – what a happy accident 🙂 !
I can see the possibilities of fiddling around with different ways of achieving a similar effect – like maybe wetting the 2nd paper or spritzing the original w/ a pearly/sparkly mist… definitely have this tucked away for future exploration
So much fun!! It looks like you had a great time with this technique.. love the sparkly “happy” 🙂
