and then, there were two.

1264200320realityYou see, that’s right. I am down to TWO things I need to check off my “fix it” list before I can launch my new site and share with you!

If the tech talk, waiting on support emails, and trying to de-code computer speak doesn’t kill me – we’re looking at a Tuesday launch.

For now, I am trying to NOT fuel myself with Coca-Cola + Halloween candy and instead stick to this nice healthy clean eats menu I know I’ll feel better for staying with.

Gotta tell you – it isn’t easy.

But, it is progress. And the #1 thing I’ve found in taking on a huge project like this is to look at it one small piece at a time. Just one little bit here, one little tweak there. It’ll be worth it.

All the best things are.

In other “let’s avoid reality” news – CHA is just 9 weeks away. There are only 10 school days (only one of those being a full day, the rest are minimum) before Thanksgiving vacation, and the days are FLYING by!! Where is the pause button on life!?!?

In the meantime, as I try not to check every .2 seconds for a response from the web dude (and also the web design lady) I shall work on my other challenge: to create an amazing Hanukkah card. Having never done this before, it is a challenge to be sure. When the email from one of my husband’s co-workers came in requesting this favor I thought… yeah. I’ve got to take this on.

Apparently because I don’t have enough challenges in my life at the moment. What is one more?

Onward and upward, dear friends. Thank you for your patience, for reading my ramblings and for taking time in general to read my blog. It really is appreciated. I love the comments I get, love chatting with you about all kinds of things from crafting to books, and most of all I love that blogging technology is fairly simple and does not give me headaches.

Now excuse me while I treat myself to an hour of ignoring reality + technology.

  1. Being on the design and build end of new websites I know all the trials and tribulations associated with a new site. Make sure that it’s optimized.

    Can’t wait to see it!

  2. I’m looking forward to your new site. Hang in there and don’t give in to the stress food! Best wishes.

  3. May,

Good luck with your upcoming website launch and :::high five::: for not caving in to the sweet treats as fuel. 🙂 I’m also taking some deep breaths as I realize that three weeks from now Thanksgiving will be *over* and I really haven’t begun to plan. (I’m hosting, but it’s a relatively small crew compared to some.)

    Happy Friday!

  4. Excited to see the new site! Take it one minute at a time…regardless that time is flying! It is all going to be good!

  5. Sounds like a break is just what you need at the moment. Really looking forward to seeing your classes!

  6. I’m sure the new website will be worth the wait but I’m also sure the waiting is agony. Bravo for sticking to healthy choices instead of giving in to the candy stash to sooth the anxiety. That only works while you are actually chewing the candy, the minute you swallow, the comfort is gone.

I can’t wait to see your awesome Hanukkah card. I need about five of those to send out to friends and I do have Paper Smooches stamp set that says Happy Hanukkah but that’s it. I could use some May Flaum inspiration.

  7. So glad you’ll be making and sharing a Hanukkah card! I’m not Jewish but make Hanukkah cards for my Jewish friends. It’s a challenge finding stamps to use. I’ve had luck with Stampin’ Up, but if anyone has other ideas for resources, please share!

  8. Ok. I loved this blog post! So many things about to happen. Very Exciting! CHA, your new site! Can’t wait to see. I know you have a new Christmas class too. And you just frightened me about only 10 days of school left until Thanksgiving! Aargh!!! So much to do. Hannukkah cards…I have made a few over the past few years for my friend to send to her family, but she keeps them instead. ha! Can’t wait to see your card! Good Luck! Hang in there!

  9. Hi new follower here. Loved reading your post! I have been blogging for a year now and would love to get a blog facedlift. Can’t wait to see your new web page. Have a wonderful day!
