You know I love my stencils (and have been working a TON with them!) – well when Christine of Scrap Time gave me one of her stencils (that she designed!) I knew I had to play with it right away, and test it out. I ended up making a card – and having a lot of fun blending colors of distress ink across the stencil.
Fun note – you can’t get this stencil in stores! Christine designed it, and is sending it to students in her on-line Art Journaling class.
Once I stenciled my background I layered on a few bits and pieces, trimmed down the white cardstock, and mounted onto a bit of purple cardstock. That pop of yellow wasn’t in the original plan – but that’s ok! It’s fun to play and just test stuff out.
If you’re looking for an art journaling class this fall – you might want to check out Christine’s class. She says:
This class will run daily for the entire month of September! Each day you will get a journaling prompt, a creative technique video as well as a stop-motion video, watching my page come together!!
PLUS, every student will receive my brand new, custom stencil!!! I designed them and had them made through the Crafter’s Workshop!! These stencils are only available through me!!! Not sold in stores!!!
Sounds like she’s really packing it full of inspiration and fun. To learn more about signing up for Christine’s class, you can check it out here.
I’m off to drop-off for the first day of school and then it’s back into the studio for me! Summer vacation is over for everyone around here.
I’ve just started playing with stencils-and I love the design on this one.Other than taking the class, can I buy one form Christine?
