I’ve been working on fun ways to incorporate the ScanNCut Disney cut files into my crafting, and today I’ve got a tutorial for taking Mickey and making him gold leaf!
Gold leaf is messy – but it is doable you just need either strong double sided adhesive, tacky adhesive (such as partially dried liquid adhesive pen), gel medium, or even acrylic paint! I decided for this project to try gold acrylic paint + stencil to see what would happen, and I have to tell you I love the results.
Here is my YouTube video tutorial with full how-to.
I really love stretching use from my cut files, stamps, and other tools and this is no exception!
I plan on using this as a creative notebook to track wild ideas and crazy plans – should be fun! I hope you’ve enjoyed this project. I’d love to hear what you’re working on these days so please feel free to share with me.
usual disclaimer: I am a paid consultant for Brother, however all ideas & opinions are my own.
That was a wild idea! What a fun embellishment.
So so cute!! Love how you covered him with gold leaf!!
