As I recover from surgery and count down to the New Year, I’m spotlighting some of my favorite companies. They rocked the customer service, the new releases, and in general were MUSTS here in my studio.
Today I’m shining the light on American Crafts.
Of course now when we say “American Crafts” we also must include their AMAZING brands like Crate Paper and Pebbles (and they’re adding Pink Paislee in 2014!!). Not to mention their collaborations with fantastic artists like Amy Tan.
The thing I really love about American Crafts is that they are producing really quality products that are fresh and fun, but also useful. I also appreciate that while they have absolutely become THE big name in scrapbooking with so many brands and lines – they still very much have the feel they did 10 years ago when I was managing a scrapbook store and dealing with them as a buyer.
I also really like that their brands have maintained individual identities and styles despite being all under one big brand.
I think it is wonderful that so many talented artists get to do what they do best in designing new products – and American Crafts does what THEY do best, getting product out to retailers and having great customer service too. If you ever have a problem with their products – they are so quick to replace it. They really stand behind their stuff and I was thrilled to see them thrive in 2013.
What’s in store for 2014? I can hardly wait to find out.
I’m a huge fan of American Crafts too! I had the chance to meet Amy this year in Utah. Her lines are awesome!
Wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful holiday season!
Hope to see you again in 2014!
So off topic, but I listened to your podcast with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer on the way to work today, it was so great!! Have been following your blog for a couple of years and it was so interesting to hear about your career. My big takeaway was hearing about the mistakes and how that’s the best way to find out what works, what you like and what your passion is, true of like in general now that I think about it. Anyway, loved the podcast made the commute so much more fun! Merry Christmas and hope you’re feeling better soon!
Cute LOs and cards May. I love the stitching with baker’s twine. I hope you’re feeling better each day
