An “anything goes” kind of week

1

I am loving the Tim Holtz exclusive kit from Simon Says Stamp (check it out here), and so I had to play around with some embossing, glitter, paint, and other goodies to make my first festive tag of the season.

I coated the tag in clear embossing powder and sprinkled silver glitter while it was hot to make it stick. I like the effect this had overall – especially by “Christmas wishes”.

Most everything (except a bit of paint and clear embossing powder) I used here was from the kit. Here’s a second project I made with this kit.

Fun stuff!

50dollar_voucher_600pxThis week the challenge is “anything goes” so the possibilities are WIDE open, and I absolutely LOVE the things that the other team members made. Simon is, as always, offering a generous $50 voucher that will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries each week. For your chance to win a $50 voucher you should hop on over and join in the challenge here.

  1. They’re so different, yet equally wonderful, May. I usually go for the style of the tag, but the quiet beauty of the card is breathtaking.

  2. Lovely holiday creations May, love the touches of sparkle in the first piece and I love the CAS design of the card and I always love to see stitching, a wonderful detail. Love the font on the sentiment on the first piece too. Tracy x x

  3. Both the tag and card are gorgeous! May. I love all the beautiful glitters on the tag and pretty stamping on the card. The color scheme is fabulous! 🙂

  4. Wow, May! I love the mix of vintage and blingy-bling on the tag! It looks retro and modern at the same time. Stunning! And the card is equally beautiful: subtle and striking.

  5. My favorite days-both of these are delightful. I too love the rustic feel-kind of the look I want for Christmas this year.
