Simon Says: Gift-spiration

Today I’m inspired to share an idea with you for photo gifting, and I’ll review the Heidi Swapp memory display stand as well.

First off- here are the supplies I used:

Now on to talk about this product from Heidi Swapp. Bottom line – I think it’s GREAT!

It is a standing display that you can alter, add and change pages, and basically turn into anything from a calendar to a scrapbook!

The size is fantastic as well. The photos you see me using are either 4×6 or very slightly cropped 4×6 photos. The fun part? the total freedom! You can re-do this or take it apart when you’re done or tired of it and want something different.

Or, you could build a gift for someone else!

Just grab a few photos, just a few supplies that coordinate such as a few tapes, trims, and dimensional embellishments, and let the project come together! What I love about this book is that it could so easily be a project that someone who doesn’t normally scrapbook could whip together in no time – as well as being a fun project for someone who enjoys scrapbooking.

Love the no-rules of this project! You could build it so pieces peek out and it goes from smallest page on top to biggest on the bottom, you could make them all the same sizes, use tags, not use any photos and do a calendar or inspirational quote decor item – the possibilities are truly endless!

I encourage you to head over to visit Simon Says Stamp & Show to see all of the other creations and to enter. I loved reading about the various tips, traditions, and of course seeing all of the ideas that the design team has to share. You should join us too – this week’s prize (as always) is a $50 voucher to Simon Says Stamp! The winner is randomly drawn – you can enter by posting to your blog, flickr, or other site too. See the blog for entry details and rules.
