Martha Stewart Halloween: A trio of cards

Day 2 of my focus on Martha Stewart Crafts Halloween collection – and today I’m digging into cards! A trio of not so spooky cards, to be exact.

For my first card, I had to use a bottle label. I just adore the bottle labels with all the cool typography and festive sayings, but I don’t have bottles I need decorated so I just used it as the focus of a very simple card.

Then, I decided to use up a scrap of paper and play with the super cool spider web border punch as well.

I punched the spider web out of kraft cardstock, then adhered to this card and dabbed with black paint. I love the quick effect! I also love that spooky eyeball paper. I’m just really digging the designs that Martha Stewart Crafts released this Halloween! They balance playful and fun with vintage inspired – so perfect for me!

Finally, I had to take advantage of the cool circle embellishment to create my own rosette.

The “Halloween” is cut out from one of the patterned papers. I’ve inked the edges of the spider paper, and I thought the stitching added another layer of texture to this spooky card.

Here are links to the supplies I used today:

Now that I’ve got cards to send out, I think my next step will be creative treats…
