give-away | Kindle bundle of books by Jennifer Estep

I’m going to buy the Mythos Academy kindle bundle of ebooks for one of you lovely readers today – because Jennifer Estep is one of my favorite authors, and because I think they’re really great books. This is her YA series, so it is a lot less dark than her adult books [which I ADORE as well!] – and I really like the set up. About the series from Jennifer Estep’s website:

I don’t remember the exact day that the lightbulb went off inside my head. I had been thinking about writing a young adult book for a while, but I was struggling to come up with a concept. Then I thought what if I had a smart, plucky, slightly snarky heroine and put her in a world full of ancient warriors and magic that she didn’t really believe in? What if there was an evil god who was trying to take over the world? What if my heroine was the key to stopping this evil god? What if she was stronger and more of a warrior than she ever thought she could be?

The idea just snowballed from there until it finally became Touch of Frost and the basis for the Mythos Academy series – magic, myth, and monsters. I hope that everyone has as much fun reading the book as I did writing it – and that the gods don’t take too much offense at my reimagining of them. Happy reading!

  10. My niece fell in love with the Mythos series immediately. She is ADHD and normally can not get her to pick up any books to read. But with your books, Jennifer, she is enthralled!! She is dying to read First Frost and can’t wait until December when your next book is due. To connect with her, I read them too and it was instant love. Jennifer, you have such a unique way to tie so much into a book. Some mystery, history, romance, and adventure all rolled into one. I tend to stick to my favorite authors and not branch out to new ones too often, just out of habit. I’ll have to check out her YA and Adult books now that you’ve recommended her so highly!
