Halloween is nearly here y’all!!! LOVE IT!
I happen to be sitting here, working out how best to use a technique that I’ve known about but haven’t before today tried. At the same time, I had no clue what to blog about today so I’ve documented what I’ve come up with so far… and added in some major nerdiness. Consider yourself warned:

May, watching you on the video was very inspiring. Now I want to do down to my studio and play with my embossing folders and tags and inks and stamps. Yours came out wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I heard of this technique but have never tried it. I love your combination of different inks. Awesome job. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration. I know what I will be doing tomorrow. 🙂

I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time.I think the poison label looked really good -the smudges made it look older.Since I’m old and easily confused-I need to know more about where the Sizzix name is and where it should be when I try this.I have some thin sheets of metal I want to emboss and than color with alcohol ink.Since I only have 2 I need to make sure I get it right.Emboss/deboss does me in every time!

I love this technique and your samples are great! I tinker and discover very much the same way as you May, so here is my latest… Use a very open celled, flat sponge, and adding acrylic paint to the sponge, dab your embossing folders just like you did with your ink pad. This is best on patterned folders since you will not get complete coverage. After the paint dries, you can even blend on distress ink to enhance and add color.
