Halloween Card {and give-away}

If you think that so far I’m having a good time being on the Tim Holtz design team, you’d be right.

Tim Holtz product used: texture fade, spiced marmalade, pumice stone, and walnut stickles, peeled paint and dusty concord distress ink, metal clip

other: Jenni Bowlin vintage Halloween kit goodies, Martha Stewart candy sticker, cardstock, PPA by USArtQuest (adhesive), ribbon

I made another of my ‘glue faux fruit rolls’ and attached to the front of a folded piece of cardstock to make a card. Then I inked, stickled, and otherwise decorated. SO easy!!

What could be more fun than getting a bit of crazy Halloween goodness in the mail? How about getting a texture fade of your own?

Tim sent me these last week, and he said I could share them with my lovely blog readers. I already have (and LOVE and USE) these texture fades and I can tell you they’re LOADS of fun!!     Happy Fall! My favorite October treat would be a pumpkin spice latte from Starbuck’s. That said, I also like the pumpkin pie flavored frozen yogurt at YogurtLand.

    My favourite Halloween treat? I just love pumpkin spiced tea, that is served during this season at Tim Horton’s. YUMMO

  8. Trick or Treat!! My favorite trick is a headstone in my yard which looks like all the others, but talks if someone gets too close. My favorite treat is hot mulled apple cider. YUM!!!!

  18. I love all the mini candy bars that come out in halloween. Because it doesn’t feel like I am eating that much candy if its only bite sized. The problem comes in when you can’t stop at 10.

  34. Whoops! Did not tell you my fave October treat! Your little spooky critter must have scared that thought away. I did remember, though! LOL! I love a nive big slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top accompanied by a steaming cup of coffee, yum! (Though the best treat might be seeing those little grandkids in their costumes!)

  42. My favorite October treat, huh? That’s a tough one, but I think I have to say apples. I love all the varieties, and I love going to orchards to pick them right off the trees. This year, I made a very simple, but delightfully tasty, apple sauce, which I’ve never done before. And I’m going to make apple bread tomorrow to take with us on our anniversary getaway this weekend, which is another October treat for me–celebrating our life together with my husband.

  44. I love pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin everything! We have been eating Costco pumpkin pie with whip cream every night this week for dessert…. YUM! I also love to make pumpkin muffins with sugared almonds on top. I would LOVE to win these TH goodies!!

    I was today at the local stores trying to get some more Tim’s embossing folders but they do not have much. I am going to Hobby Lobby next week to see if they have more. I love those sets. I got the Bingo One and the Patchwork.

My favourite October treat is heading out to the country to see fields full of ripe pumpkins, just waiting to be carved into jack-o-lanterns. Ironic, as I don’t care for the taste of pumpkin; my favourite edible fall treat is home made butter tarts washed down with a glass of fresh pressed apple cider.

  87. Oh.. I don’t think I have a real favorite ! But the smell of cinnamon and cloves draw me in all the time. Pumpkin! Apple butter cooking over an open fire! And of course, candy corn is a staple usually. 🙂

  92. Mmm, everything about October is a treat to me! The cool, crisp, slightly smoky smelling days. The bright blue sky as a background for the beautiful canvas of red, orange, yellow, green, and brown trees. Pumpkins, apples, ans kettle corn to savor. Pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider. Sneaking a kit kat or peanut butter cup from the trick or treat bowl. My annual vacation where I spend as much time as possible in various local parks. And this year, spending all these awesome moments with my little boy! This is my favorite month.

  94. My favorite October treats are Peanut Carmel Apples (already had one this month!) and Carmel Cheese Popcorn. Ok so I really eat the carmel cheese popcorn all year round but that can be our secret.

  95. Everything made with pumpkin, but my favorite has to be pumpkin ravioli. It is simply delcious!
