is it fall yet?

August has been mad. crazy. insane. off the hook. All family and fun stuff – just… busy. It’s weird to have had things so busy personally and so quiet on the work front. To have spent more time away than home. Baseball games, fairs, parties, and all kinds of straight up summer madness. This girl is happy to have things going back to business as usual though. Much as I loved our wild August so far, I’m looking forward to some routine and normal and ‘boring’ weeks if you will.

Love this picture of the girls (and their visiting cousin) playing. LOVE the 100+ pics I now have to scrapbook of them together!

Glad Rebecca loved her VERY SPECIFIC birthday cake. Color and placement of roses, how words were to be put on… everything changed about 10,000 times up until the moment we picked up her cake and she finally accepted it. PHEW. I wouldn’t change a thing though. I LOVE that she was so involved and that it was HER birthday wishes come true, not my wishes for her, that ruled the day.

I will forever more serve fruit salad from watermelons. LOVE it.

contrasting background = better pop of the subjects. I love that the 3 of them would never all look at/smile at camera at same time. It’s better than if it were perfect.

Who doesn’t love a pony ride?!

Looking ahead I don’t see quiet time or being bored, but I do like that fall is fast approaching. I’m already ‘back to work’ on a load of articles, new classes for 2011 (oh yes, I’ve got new classes!), and much more.

Until next time, have a lovely day.

  1. Can’t wait to see how you scrapbook these pictures May! One more week of vacation for me before school starts…and one more day of 3 boys at home before packing them all up for college. Blessings on your week 🙂

  2. Those pics are fantastic! Can’t wait to see them scrapped! Love Rebecca’s b/day cake and good for her for knowing exactly what she wants!

  3. Sounds like a fun summer, can’t wait to see those photos on layouts.

Summer is officially over here the kids went back to school Monday and it’s been a week of getting back into routines around here.

Can’t wait to see what you’ve got up your sleeve ;o)

  4. OMG! That cake is the cutest thing ever! I love the baby guinea pig! Aww!

Who doesn’t love a pony ride…well…me. Rental ponies often live a tough life. So often they seem so…disconnected, depressed. I’ll take a real carousel any day. 🙂 (Or heck, a real horse ride from a friend’s pet. :))

But that’s just me. Sorry to be a downer!
