I don’t like vintage inspired, I love it!

I was on Unkit Live last night (Sudie TV with Sudie Alexander) and there were some technical difficulties – Anyhow, it’s my understanding that I was on audio, but not video, but it was fun anyhow. Talking about fave vintage inspired products and such. Here’s a photo of me in studio listening to Sudie + keeping eye contact on my computer/webcam…

Jason wanted to know why I had lipstick on last night, as I never have lipstick on at home. I explained – without it my face was just pale enough that I appeared to not have lips on the webcam, it was creepy. I will have to remember this for the video chats I am doing for my next Big Picture class that starts next month. Keep lipstick near computer!

Anyhow, I did two layouts for Sudie and they’ll be posted at www.unkit.com along with some tips for working with vintage products + vintage inspired stuff. So much fun. This one is up today-

supplies:
Kaiser Craft “Devonshire” patterned papers, lace, brad, rhinestones, and pearls; www.shopevalicious.com dictionary paper button flowers; October Afternoon stickers (letters); Bella Blvd big flower; Making Memories journaling paper; American Crafts pen

The orange + aquas in this line by Kaiser Craft paper + the vintage feel = pure love from me. Did you know Kaiser Craft is a friend of Camp Scrap? That’s right – they’ll be giving away prizes (plural!) during my class. My favorite thing about the layout above has to be using the lace and making it the base for my embellishing. The strand of pearls on top is held down thanks to some dabs of liquid adhesive here and there.

This morning I’m working on a number of projects, one of which is this on the go planner/journal for our big family vacation (that doesn’t happen for six or seven months, but whatever!)  I’m playing with Tattered Angels goodies (another friend of Camp Scrap!!!) + random fun stuff on this journal/scrapbook thing I bought at Borders a few years ago.

It’s SOAKING WET, so while I wait for it to dry I’ll be working on other projects. So much to share, so much fun to have!! Hope you’re having a great week –

  1. Love it! When I was on Unkit a few weeks ago, I was all dressed up from waist up and in PJs below that–weird, but it worked!

  2. Darn. I missed it. I saw it on SB.com but completely forgot about it.

Love what you’re working on. I am waiting until after the 20th to sign up for Camp Scrap (pacing my purchases – it will be on the next credit card bill).

    Cheers.

  3. Love what you’ve been creating … and can’t wait for Camp Scrap! You look very pretty!
