dear readers,

If you’re looking at the above photo and thinking “how cute! E is sorting buttons while the dog sleeps next to her, aww” well, yes, that’s true but you’re missing the bigger picture here.

I’m swamped.

Button sorting is one of my simple pleasures, and I’m bribing Elizabeth to do it for me because the week has been that busy. INSANE.

Now I’m not going to do that blogger cop-out and tell you busy is why I’ve not been posting. Though I will apologize for my absence and tell you the reason- I chose sleep. I’ve gone to bed before 10pm every night. I’m exhausted by the end of the day and when asked “stay up 30more min and blog, or sleep now?” I chose sleep. Every time.

Am I sorry? Well of course I feel bad that you visit my blog and there’s nothing new here. But it had to be done. I’ll spare you the minutia of my week – just know it’s been a hum-dinger with a load more today and tomorrow. Imagine huge work deadlines mixed with loads of personal appointments and obligations combined with adopting a new dog (who had worst timing to enter our lives but is worth it).

Come Monday? I’m back to blogging business as usual. Better than usual really because I’ve got some surprises, prizes, sneak peeks, and more. I hope you stay tuned-

  1. I do not blame you a bit….I would be choosing sleep Too. we need you rested and relaxed, so take your time….do what you have to do and we will be here waiting. A BIG Hug with lots of love and peace. A deep breath too. Can you feel it?

  2. You only missed two days! I do enjoy reading your blog every day, but I think we readers can accept a little break now and then while you recover from a crazy pace.

  3. Glad you chose the sleep too! Although I always learn from your creative heart-I with stick to using my imagination when visualizing what those “May-embellished Toothpicks” would look like that you had to use to prop open your eyes 🙂 Blessings on your busy, busy weekend.

  4. Glad to hear that your chose sleep over blogging. It’s important to take care of “you”. It’s nice to see that you have a little button sorter helper too. How sweet.

  5. No worries. Take care of yourself. We don’t need a post everyday so don’t feel like you need to. You have a real life, much more important than the virtual one. I am enjoying the Hybrid class!

  6. Oh honey, I would always choose sleep over blogging! And I love my blog. lol I just love sleep more esp when I’ve not had enough of it.

  7. I think that’s what we call “life”, sleep is definitely more important for many reasons – i.e. you need it to be healthy! Take care May!
    P.S. Love that mask!

  8. Can’t wait to see what you have been busy doing. We miss you but totally understand the sleep need! Drink lots of coffee and try to relax some!!

  9. Hang tough! I’ve heard having a dog is like having a 3 year old…but this is a puppy? Worse. My cat just keeps us amused. But you’ll manage.

  10. I think you made the smarter move here you need your sleep you have a family that needs you and life to live!

  11. May, always enjoy your posts. While I love to see them daily, I do not want you missing sleep to do them! You’ll notice I do not post daily though it was a New Year’s resolution to do so, lol! I do not have good excuses, either.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit and make such a nice comment on my blog. Made my day!
    Hang in there.
Anxious to see all the new LO’s in their final form.

  12. May,
Sleep! I don’t blame you one bit. As a Mom, wife, worker, scrapper, etc. I fully would take the sleep over blogging on my site as well.
I love your posts and visit your site regularly to energize. I am always amazed at what your creative self inspires me to do!
Take care and snooze when you can!
    Carol
