I swore “no more scrapbooking” until I find these train brads I *NEED* for my current page. Well, I’ve logged in more than 10hrs of cleaning and still no sign of them. I’m starting to think that I didn’t buy them, I just meant to buy them. (slapping head in total homer simpson ‘doh’ moment)

The good news is that my embellishments and paper have not been this cleaned out since 2007! I have a long way to go in purging/cleaning… but it’s a good start. I’ll share more about the clean results next time. for now I want to share something I made (it’s not scrapbooking…) when stalling on cleaning.

Such a fun and easy project- a friend gave me an acrylic tag album, and instead of making an album I’ve been using the pages individually to make photo decor for the wall.

The photo and black paper is behind the acrylic. Then I adhered to the acrylic tag with foil tape around edges. SO FUN. OF course then just add fun do-dads and you’re set to jet!

Some happy mail winners!

Drawn random- as always- and to claim your goodie just shoot me an e-mail (with your mailing addy + whatcha won) at mflaum@comcast.net

Heidi Grace hearts: StampinCathy, Jessica, Michelle3624, Kathleen

Fearless 14 book: Melinda

I’ve got more to share… and adventures in cleaning my studio to share coming soon…

create, play, enjoy…

There’s been a lot of creating going on in this house- and my brain is on overdrive with ideas. A good thing for sure! While I can’t share most of it here because it’s for assignments, I can share this one. It’s a layout I made about a week ago – mostly with Lil Davis. (Oh how I love lil davis!!!)

The stamp set used (hearts and the xoxo circle) is from Lil Davis too. I *love* that stamp set! Other product used is yellow ribbon (ribbonjar.com), metal flowers by creative imaginations, journal paper from making memories, and Heidi Grace epoxy hearts.

Those Heidi Grace epoxy hearts? Only an obsession of mine that I can’t stop. I adore them and ok, I might use them a little too often. But they’re so cute!! The little bit of glitter and variety of colors = total fabulousness. I’ve got a few extra (they’re light blue & pink) packages that fit nicely into a regular envelope… so if you’d like a bit of happy mail just leave a comment here. I’ll draw a winner next time I post!

FYI- go to the bottom of THIS page, and top of next and you can see/buy ALL the hearts. Yeah, I enable!

lemon cupcake

history: last fall I meant to have some friends over and bake scones, etc… that didn’t happen. But I still have this jar of lemon curd, and it needs to be used. (super tart- almost jelly-like consistency. VERY good with the right pastry or baked good)

So, cleaning out my cupboard I notice that it expires next week I got it out along with cream cheese frosting, lemon cake mix, and walnuts to make super easy cute yummy cupcakes. Like this:

cut off the top- angle the knife a bit as desired. Then spread a thin layer of lemon curd + thin layer of frosting + a few fine chopped walnuts (optional). Then seal it back up.

Then to be fancy I either put some finely chopped walnut on top- OR a dollop of that lemon curd that is so fantastic.

I’m off to enjoy with a cup of tea… oh yeah.

Think this is sweet? When I’m done eating I’m putting together some prizes to give away here… stay tuned!!
