CHA: Polka Dot Party

pdpt

Be enchanted by the delicate and endearing beauty of Polka Dot Party. Charming graphics highlight the sophisticated femininity of the collection: butterflies, polka dots, chevron, hearts, and handwritten sentiments are presented in hues of pink, mint, gray and yellow. Join the fun of Polka Dot Party!

This collection includes 21 double-sided patterned papers and three specialty papers. Eight sheets of Thickers in various colors and finishes coordinate wonderfully with the sticker sheets, die-cut frames, and other embellishments. Previous favorites, including large tags, die-cut cards and fabric bows are joined by new items: fringe flowers, ribbon photo corners and two pattern brayer sets for quickly adding fun patterns on paper.

Feeling Lucky…

010

To have Lucky Charm here on my desk. This line is fantastic and it really is the Navy blue + creams + soft rainbow of colors that has me captivated. It is a VERY good mix, and unlike a lot of scrapbooking lines out there, this one has me able to craft with it and very little else. Yes, I do love it! I will be sharing more with Lucky Charm this weekend, but today I wanted to share a quick layout:

h

I just love how versatile this line is, how easy it is to use, and how well it works with such a variety of my photos. I love that the pieces work for cardmaking as well as scrapbooking (and any other papercraft you please) and how much neutral colors and simple patterned papers there are in the line as well.  Did I mention my LOVE? Such fun. I got a bit inky with this layout, but nothing too funky. My photo is 3×5 – I’ve taken to printing my iPhone pics out at that size or smaller just to mix things up a bit. I’ll be reporting back in with how that works out as I do more scrapbooking.

Lucky Charm is now in stores, including Simon Says Stamp, TwoPeas, Scrapbook.com, and Blue Moon Scrapbooking.

hearts + pink.

I believe in Valentine’s Day as a chance to share love in general. Friends, grandparents, children… I don’t believe in hyping up forced romance. That’s not real to me.

But love in general is always something I’m down to celebrate.

Today I want to share some favorite craft products that feature pink + hearts. Because I won’t lie – I love that Valentine’s Day features pink.

Basic Grey Kissing Booth.  this line makes me so happy. All that beautiful pink + chocolate-y brown. LOVE. The stitched heart paper is my favorite.

Hero Arts 4 Hearts stamps – they’re a great size + shape, and I find myself using them more often than any other heart stamps. I do love my Hero Arts stamps.

Tim Holtz heart (mini) dies – I use (and adore) these little hearts almost every week. They’re the perfect size + shape for most all my projects. I’m SO glad to have them! They’ll cut through all kinds of materials too- love that.

Doodlebug Twine – really anything Doodlebug is cute, but all their “cupcake” and “Bubblegum” colored (pink) supplies are my very favorites. I love their pink! This card of twine has quickly become a go-to for me this month.

Distress Stickles in Spun Sugar – I love worn lipstick, but Spun Sugar is my go-to soft pink distress stickles color. Love!

 Dear Lizzy Neapolitan trims

What are your favorite love (or red or pink) products? Do you like a bit of glitter with your love pages? Like some metallic added in? Or are you all over the map with how you scrapbook loved ones?

I’m off to my Big Picture class to issue a love-related challenge now – I challenge you as well – do some love-related craftiness and share!

All of these products + many more love, heart, and pink craft supplies can be found at simonsaysstamp.com

spotlight | Dear Lizzy

It’s been a few shows since Liz Kartchner released a Dear Lizzy line with American Crafts, and her fans won’t be disappointed in this one! Neapolitan blends her sweet designs with loads of texture, detail, and soft colors.

Neapolatin is right on point with emerging and current trends – but in ways that feel fresh and uniquely Lizzy! I did an article on the use of mason jars in scrapbooking (link) – and Lizzy was one of the first I noticed. I love her jars that she had at the show.
