Now filming: Scrapbook Soup!

IMG_2374

I’m back from Ohio, where I spent far more time traveling then being there. (ha!) But for good reason! Above you see my “green room” table where I’m setting up my projects for filming.

Here’s the set…

It is *hot* on the set with all those lights! Oh and there is a ton to remember to do (and not do)… but it is really a lot of fun and the crew was FANTASTIC! I’ve got 5 segments coming this year on Scrapbook Soup – I will do a post + share the project each time a new episode is up online.

All of my projects feature the ScanNCut (seen on table above) – and I found so many ways of making this great machine work for my craft projects! I hope you love these episodes and projects as much as I do!

One of the best parts? I love working with Julie Fei-Fan Balzer! She’s one of my favorite people anyhow, and absolutely fantastic to work with too. Not to mention tremendously talented and inspiring! Always happy when I can spend time with her.

Oh, and yeah when waiting on stuff to be set and ready to film sometimes it gets real silly…

It was a great trip and experience – but I am definitely glad to be home in time for my birthday weekend!!

Last Saturday I packed up and went down to Scrapbook Territory (Berkeley, CA) to teach a sold out Art Journaling workshop with Miss E and Scrappy dog too. I loved sharing my ideas, seeing people take things and run in their own directions too. Your journal should be a FUN place.

I expect I will be back at the shop soon for more classes – we had an absolute blast!

Speaking of classes…

That is a view of my desk last week and a page coming soon to my current on-line class. This is your LAST CHANCE to register for the pre-registration price of $35- this four month long class is an absolute deal.

The numbers on how many videos, PDF files, projects – it just keeps going up! You don’t want to miss out if you scrapbook at all – this is a huge and fabulous class if I do say so myself. Click here to check it out and register.

For now I’m back to work on more pages for class, more projects for here at the blog, more videos for YouTube, and more fun in general! Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Fun in Berkeley CA and inspiration gathering

Jason needed to run a few errands in Berkeley one Saturday morning and so we all said “why not?” and hopped in the car. We enjoyed breakfast at 900 Grayson (fabulous!) before heading to 4th street. Well – the girls and I hit  4th street. Jason went on his errands!

What was so fantastic is that wandering around those artsy little shops refilled my “inspiration tanks” in my crazy brain. Really didn’t buy much – but did get inspired to head home and use what I’ve got! Above you see images from Scrapbook Territory (HUGE AND FAB shop!) and Castle In The Air an amazing fantastic shop that is paper and treasures and vintage and you never quite know what’s inside.

We also wandered Paper Source, Papyrus, Anthropologie, and much more. We discovered a new to us dog store called George that was just the cutest and full of treasures we wanted to show Scrappy. We also found what the girls called a “fake dessert” place (100% vegan including ice cream) and decided next time to do better research on where to find the real deal sweets!

If asked, they say the scrapbook store dogs (Oliver pictured below) are their faves.

Me? I liked exploring known places of inspiration, bringing home new albums for 2015 scrapbooks, and just spending a bit of time playing hooky when I had so many things to do back at home.

I will be returning to Scrapbook Territory to teach an Art Journal workshop so very soon – so stay tuned!
