Acrylic Paint Pouring: Photo frame

Acrylic Paint Pouring is all the rage – and for good reason! It’s so much fun and the possibilities are endless! Today I am sharing a photo frame that I used by doing just that: paint pouring. You can find a wide variety of pour mediums, and use just about any acrylic paint too!

So far I’ve been using the Dina Wakley (Ranger Ink) version – and I like it a lot. I’ve noticed some pre-mixed ones on the market and I have to say I’ve yet to be impressed by quality. Mixing yourself is the way to go!

For this I used a simple inexpensive frame, pour medium, and of course acrylic paint. Scrapbook.com (affiliate links) sells both the pour medium I use, as well as some of my favorite acrylic paint colors – Impasto.

The results on this are lovely! I really wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would turn out and I was most definitely pleasantly surprised. Sometimes you really do need to just roll with those crazy ideas and give something a try!

What next? I’m working on some small trinket trays that I also am coating in resin for gifts. Hopefully I can nail down my best “how to” tips and I’ll be sure to share! In the meantime, I’m off to work on some scrapbooking and other non-paint projects to keep my hands clean for a day or two…
