and so, another school year begins. I wish I could say this layout is already in the 2014 album, but I’m not quite to that level of organization. Things have been wild here (when are they not?) but pretty darn positive. The girls are both very happy with their assigned teachers, my studio space is getting to a place where I can almost call it clean, and lots of excitement for the fall as well as new projects is high as well.
I created this layout with the new Simon Says Stamp card kit – as you can see it works beautifully on a project other than a card. Love that! This page was simple and doesn’t have a lot going on – I like that too. Sometimes I just want a photo + a story in a format that fits into an otherwise hectic schedule.

I rarely devote a whole page to just one photo, but if any day deserves it, it’s the first day of school! Love the simple design with all the May touches.
That is an ADORABLE photo! Sweet page.
Love the adorable little raised foot pose!!
Oh, the girls are so cute! Great layout. I’ve never used kraft, but seeing yours the last few months I’m really drawn in. Amazing too this was made with a card kit. Love the pose, too. Michelle t
That is such a cute, cute, cute photo! Love the LO … and I think you’ve convinced me to buy that kit!
Absolutely adorable photo! Love the way this page came out!
So sweet! I love the foot raised! Hope 1st day of school was great! Always amazing you use a card kit to make a 12×12 page!
I wish I could get as good at layering things as you are, May! 🙂 Great layout–simple design, but very effective. Thanks for sharing this!
