Challenge: Paste

50dollar_voucher_600pxAnother Monday, another challenge week! This week we are all about “paste” and Simon is, as always, offering a generous $50 voucher that will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries each week. Join the fun by creating a project this week – and for your chance to win a $50 voucher you should hop on over and join in the challenge here.

Supplies Used:

I took this as a chance to add just a very light amount of paste.

My paste has gotten a bit gritty it seems – maybe a reaction to the paint?! Anyhow I painted the stencil (on the tag) then highlighted some areas with paste and created a fun background for my circus person.

I do so always love a bit of creative play – and these new stamps + stencils have me in non-stop action mode!!

Have a great week – and hopefully you (and me both!) get some happy crafting time…

  1. Real cute card. I like that textured stone wall background. That’s neat. I have to practice this technique. I could tell by the supply list you didn’t use gesso. Could you use gesso and get the same effect? Thanks. Michelle t

  2. A wonderful use of paste. And your tiny circus performer has stolen my heart! This is the first time I’ve seen this guy in action and now I have a huge crush.
    Very inspiring, May!

  3. Great piece, May! I really was impressed by the background you created and I think that the grit added a wonderful textural vibe. Nice combination of whimsical elements at the base of that great circus man, too!

  4. MAy your card is so cool! The new Tim’s stamp are beautiful and the new stencil that you’ve used perfect for this challenge! Very beautiful card! BArbarayaya

  5. The cobblestone tag is so cool – and what a brilliant image… So perfectly layered and embellished – a fab card!
