the kraft resist.

Oh I won’t pretend even for a second that I resist-ed purchasing the new Tim Holtz idea-ology kraft resist paper stash.

I’ve worked with them here before (you’ve seen my CHA projects), but now I have a WHOLE PAD… and it’s kraft (reverent whisper) and it’s every bit as fun as I thought it would be!!! So I pulled out a special drink (Curiosity cola, of course!) and got down to making both class projects + samples for my upcoming Kraft classes!

Not quite sure where I wanted to jump in, I started with the cover. Oh yes, the cover is even useful! Below you see me using my favorite stapler to attach trim that has been dyed with distress stain (my post about those can be found HERE)…

I’m still playing with this tag… but I’ve had some fun layering on stamping and canvas die cut flower and even some multi-medium to add a whole ‘nother level of resist!

Oh yes, my order from www.simonsaysstamp.com came in, and with it some shiny new (wood mounted, of course) Tim stamps…

I took out a library pocket (I can tuck a treat, a tag, or anything else I want in here now…) and played for a while with more stains and inks and…

Even used one of Tim’s seasonal stickers (LOVE THOSE!) and once again I’m stapling my lovely delicate trim. What’s up with that?! I am not quite sure, but I’m having a lot of fun.

Now I’m all warmed up and ready to actually open the package and play…

this is gonna be fun!

  1. I just got my order of kraft resist yesterday afternoon. I can’t wait to play with it but 1st I have to clean the house. Then I can play guilt free 🙂 I love the things you’ve done with it.

  2. Hi May, will we see any of these lovely projects in the May with May class? I really love your tags.

  3. Hi there!

No, these projects here are just for fun… and you don’t see my on-line class projects anywhere but in class. 🙂 I keep those pretty private/exclusive so that only students get to see them.

I DO have plenty of fresh fun projects in that class!! As well as new stuff for here on the blog…

  4. I have not a clue as to how I missed this post other than I am trying to spend less time on the computer and more time creating. You are so irresistible with your awesome creativity and clever wit. I am not buying much these days, but I know once I make a trip up to Archivers, I shall be purchasing that pad and a few other new Tim Holtz products. They are so hard to resist.

  5. My paper pack of Kraft resist arrived today … I’ll be staying tuned to your blog to show me how to use it!
