CHA top picks

Nancy Nally (Scrapbook Update) has her famous (and always really well thought out) CHA top 10 picks posted:

She asked me for my input – and of course I had a LOT to say about new crafty goodness. I think she came up with a great list, and as always I’m impressed with how much she sees and finds on the show floor. Ah, but what do *I* think is mega-hot that isn’t on that list? Well, there are a few things. IN NO ORDER:

www.studiocalico.com  – new lines are off the hook. I have a few things and have been playing. LOVE.

www.pinkpaislee.com – some fun stuff here – love the butterflies. Daily Junque is off the hook.

www.thegirlspaperie.com – I’m on Margie’s team, so I can tell you from firsthand experience. These lines are SMOKIN HOT! LOVE!

www.glitzitnow.com – the afternoon muse line. wowza. Oh heck – it’s all good.

www.echoparkpaper.com – ALL OF IT! Echo Park keeps me excited about paper + stickers!

www.kimemories.com – puffies. GLORIOUS puffies. Send them all to me. pretty please.

www.kaisercraft.net – they continue to rock it out. Lots of new stuff coming from them.

I know I’m likely forgetting someone or something, if so I’ll add to it. Currently I’m working hard on developing ideas for new classes (with a lot of this product, in fact!!!) and I’m LOVING this batch of releases. Have you been watching the new peeks? What are you looking forward to?

One of my most anticipated “must try” items is Tim Holtz distress stain. WANT IT! Guess what? www.simonsaysstamp.com has it NOW!!! Can’t wait.

  1. What is the difference between distress stain, the color wash from Ranger (I think), Mr. Huey, using the distress reinkers alone and painting it on or even Glimmer Mist (I get the glimmer part)? Just trying to understand the different medias and then why would I purchase one over the other? Thanks!

  2. It’s all color to add to your projects. Different coverage, glimmer, method of application… There’s so much to consider. I’d recommend visiting companies websites & blogs of products you are interested in. I will be doing an article on this in near future, but it really all boils down to what you’re trying to do.

I have a few of many brands- which gives me options and room to play.
