A LOVEly Day

We’ve had a quiet weekend. J is recovering from surgery (a work related thing that has long caused him pain) and we’ve been enjoying some beautiful weather too. We really don’t like big & over the top Valentine’s things – never have. Plus for me it’s really more about love in general (not romantic love specifically) that I celebrate so it was fun to exchange little gifts and rest.

Saturday Miss R picked out a dress at Costco – she declared it hers and at under $15 I couldn’t say no.

This is one of the outtakes, but I think it’s still super cute to see her eyes all squeezed shut and ‘cheezing’. I plan on using some other photos from this session to do some scrapbooking with the new Homespun Chic line by Melody Ross for GCD.

I *love* this line totally & have some in my hot little hands ready for projects & fun. In part it’s for something (shhhh) secret… but I think I can manage a thing or two to share here on the blog as well.

Speaking of fun- you might want to hop on over to the Elle’s Studio blog on Monday the 15th and check it out. (hint hint) I’ve got a new hybrid scrapbook layout I made just for them – that features part of the exclusive download (peeked above!) they made for my class starting at Big Picture Scrapbooking on the 25th. Big fun.

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

  1. What a great photo – I get shots like that too these, from my youngest grandson.

Your painted hearts look great – my DD was in the US this past week and I sent her to Target specifically for those heart-shaped foil tins after I saw you post them. Wouldn’t have thought to use it as a stamp, though!
