Making kits is so much fun – almost as much fun as using them. Did you know I really kind of make “mini kits” every time I make a page? I bet you do too. When I pull  stuff together that I think will work with my photos I’m kind of making a single page kit. So even when I don’t think I’m using one, I kind of am. Can you tell yet that I’m all pumped for class to start? I totally am.

In celebration there’s going to be a lot of fun going on here all week – even more than usual. Today I have a 13 x 13 x 3″ box to fill with a homemade kit. I’m calling it “nov/dec 09”.

lots of reds and greens, but other stuff too. I love putting together vague kits that can be interpreted and used in many different ways. Know what else I love? giving the kits away. If you’d like to win everything pictured above + about 10 sheets of alphabet stickers + any other fun stuff I can fit into the box just leave a comment here!   9. I do the same thing sometimes – collect a bunch of stuff that coordinates and then sit down to create. Although, lots of times I don’t use it all, it is still a kit of sorts! Other times – I just reach and pull from my stash as I am working. It can get a little crazy when I work that way! LOL!

  25. I have never been one of the lucky ones although I continue to try, try again. I should put together kits of my own. Sometimes I think I’m so overwhelmed with choices that I end up doing nothing. Someday I’m going to believe what I know in my heart is true and that is…my family will never know if I choose the right paper and embellishments when they look back at my layouts. They’ll simply be happy they’re there. I would love to have had my Mother’s thoughts, dreams and memories documented.

  33. Well I love christmas themed kits, but I have a hard time using the red/green color combination for other things. Hoever your kit looks so useful. I can picture quite a few things I could do with it. Thanks for the idea!
