cross your fingers for me.

the car company from hell, the one I’ve been trying to get answers from for 6 weeks? A manager called me at home last night. I could have died from shock. He’s reviewing my e-mails (oh, I’ll get into this later…) and going to call me back later today.

In the meantime I’ll be working on a lot of projects. But wanted to say… cross your fingers for me and hope for a happy ending to the nightmare of ____ car company rental…

** EDITED TO ADD: The nightmare is over. They are crediting me the full amount I was hoping for, and I finally got to speak to someone who knows how to treat a customer. Sigh of relief isn’t even strong enough of an expression…

  1. Wishing you lots of luck and much success with the car company..whatever the troubles may be, I hope it gets worked out to your satisfaction!

In the meantime, be creative to work out those frustrations! 🙂

  2. Crossing my fingers for you. . . we have had some bad moments with car rental companies too. The worse one being they needed to see a gas. or electric bill since we were from the LA area and renting a car for an out of town trip. I guess they do not trust the people in LA!! How sad was that?

  7. when you are in a “customer” based business it is hard when other people do not understand the concept of how to treat a customer no matter what.

  8. Woohoo! That’s awesome! Good thing you don’t live in Norway, there is NO SUCH THING as customer service. It really sucks after getting used to good service (most of the time) in the US.

  9. I’m so glad to hear that your issues with the car company were resolved.

As someone who worked in customer service from the age of 12 it is so frustrating to see how rude some employees can be. It seems that customer service is something that really slides today. Some people just don’t realize that if it wasn’t for the customers, they wouldn’t be in business today.

  10. WOOOOO HOOOOOO !

Glad to hear it! Some people just don’t “get” what customer service is really about! grrr.

    Good job May!

  11. Oh I’m so glad they were able to settle the problem to your satisfaction. I can just imagine your relief. Have a great trip May!
