no rules, just happy crafting
I love crafting all kinds of things – but I also love remembering that a pretty piece of ribbon plus a doily can = lovely gift wrapping. Homemade or semi-homemade, it can be crafted simply and quickly sometimes.
Just a quick reminder and glance at the last gift I wrapped.
Year #1 saw only five trips (but all great trips!) and so there is still plenty of room for 2015. Today I set up the page that will act as a transition to the new year.
I used some new Project Cards inspired by the Pebbles Lakeside collection (oh how I love that one!) plus an older Maggie Holmes PL card and my beloved stamps (G45)
I also (finally, haha) finished adding photos to the last 2014 trips!
I keep this book really simple. It’s a 6×8 simple stories album and I just write while on the trips then add in a few photos after. LOVE this album, and love being able to document tons of real details and stories while on the road.
Just wanted to share where it’s at – and that it is working super well!

The letter B inspires our challenge this week, and I can’t help but think of blue. Salty Ocean blue, to be specific. I love this bold blue and I had an absolute blast playing with the color and making this tag.

Well, today I’m sharing the opposite.
I love playing with glossy gel medium + stencils + mist. What is more fun? My friend Christine at ScrapTime is also playing with gel mediums today! We are teaming up and You can check out her post + video on gel medium as well as mine today. Kind of a fun crafty collaboration! Here’s the direct link to her blog post.
This technique I’ve been doing with glossy gel medium and it works so great – I wanted to also find out if it works with matte finish, or if it matters what brand. The answer: NO difference! works well either way.
The stencil I used is a Balzer Bits stencil by The Crafter’s Workshop – loving this face stencil!
