I think it’s a FANTASTIC book and what a great concept too! Personally, I think things that are totally everyday or ordinary are actually quite extraordinary. After all – what’s routine today probably won’t be in a few months or years! Some of my favorite pages are about everyday details like…

  • Most cooked/favorite meal
  • Daily routine
  • inside joke or current funny thing we always talk about
  • Something one of the kids is real into
  • Just happy feelings about today, why I’m blessed, etc.

Or the dog just hanging out…

  1. Very weird, that I’m in my google reader, reading blogs…I read your blog…scroll down and read others…scroll back up and what? New blog from May? Already?

    This is cool! I’m working to do more scrapbooking of the everyday. That’s what I’m trying currently to make my baby’s “baby book” album into. Scrapbooking her everyday. I’m taking notes for when I get around to some of these. Because who has time to scrapbook more than once or twice a week with an 8 month old?

  3. Looks like another Ella book to add to my wishlist! Loved your post about your east coast visit. We went to Richmond for my nephew’s departure ceremony a couple of weeks ago. Proud aunt of one army nephew and one air force! 🙂

  5. Everyday life – isn’t that what life IS? If we want to document life for future generations, it’s the everyday things that are the important things. That’s the only way scrapbooking can be a glimpse into a life, rather than looking at an event.

  23. I used to only scrap events, but I’ve started scrapping the everyday moments and love those layouts even more. Looks like a great book.

  31. I have a whole section in one of my albums for my pets and I think I’ve only done one or two layouts ever! I should really do more about my numerous pets!!

  32. I have good intentions of creating a mini album totally devoted to Maggie, our dog and our previous one, Morgan, but never get around to it. I have the photos printed, embellishments and papers so I just need to devote an afternoon to it!
