I know not everybody celebrates Valentine’s day, and not everyone is in a romantic relationship either. I still vote that the spirit of Valentine’s day can and should be celebrated. It doesn’t have to be about the retail purchases or jewelry. Let’s focus on the LOVE people! For a niece, a grandma, a friend, a sister, or just doing something nice for a co-worker who seems to need it. As a part of this “V-day” challenge over at my class I created this layout:
I used versamark ink to stamp (Fiskars) diamond pattern on the background in a few spots- love that result. Also I used Claudine Hellmuth’s sticky back canvas for my photo mat (cut out with a Fiskars rotary scallop blade) that I then layered on several colors of paint and ink. (LOVE Claudine’s stuff!)
So that’s my Valentine inspired page. I’m happy to have finally scrapped this photo of my sister, niece, and me.
page supplies: MME patterned paper, Basic Grey stickers, Claudine Hellmuth paint and canvas, making memories buttons, brad and flower, K&Co fabric covered brad, unknown brown ribbon, thread, American Crafts slick writer pen, Heidi Grace clear sticker, versamark ink, brilliance ink.
this page is adorable. i love the different take on valentines day too. :]
