If you’ve seen my past posts on art journaling then you already know – I strongly believe in my art journal being a place of judgment free play. Today in honor of “dog days of summer” week I’m creating with a new to me dog stamp that I think will be cool “uncolored”. The question becomes background and I’m creating in a way that is so very forgiving to test out ideas.
Here is a link to my YouTube video.
I used some fun supplies – here are some (affiliate) links to Ellen Hutson: Waffle Flower stamps, Prima Oil Pastels, and Tim Holtz distress crayons are the main ones used. Any clear or white medium (gel, gesso) would work to create the surface.
Call it what you want – but giving myself space to create with ZERO pressure always is the most fun! I can practice techniques and learn what I do and don’t like without worries. I also create a book full of techniques and inspiration to look at when I’m stuck!
I hope I’ve inspired you to test something out this weekend!
Love that May
This is great. I love Tim’s distress crayons.
