November 2015 Cocoa Daisy Kit & Guest!

DSC_8278

These little kitties love being cut out from my ScanNCut2 – such fun! Even more fun is that the lovely ladies of Cocoa Daisy invited me to play along this month as a guest! This card is just the first of several- and over on my YouTube channel (link) you can see the how-to video for this. I’m very pleased with the results – but right meow I’ve gotta get back to the studio!

Don’t forget birthdays is always a goal of mine… and I’m the worst. I’ve been known to forget my own! Ah well, at least I can craft up some cuteness for a belated gift.

Want to see more about Cocoa Daisy or check out their new kit? Here’s a link to their website.

a steampunk-y spooky kind of card

skull card

I created this skull card a while back on Periscope (periscope.tv/craftwithmay is where you can find me) and am finally getting around to sharing it! I used all kinds of color mediums from distress spray to watercolor and had a whole lot of fun with this old stamped image. Yes, the edges are torn out of the pad of watercolor paper, and yes I love a raggedy edge card!

My challenge to myself was to be “more masculine” and I’m happy with how it came out. As I said earlier this week making time for creative play is a good thing… I’m glad I did on this busy day to create this card.

Have  very happy and crafty weekend!

Be Merry: A Lawn Fawn Card

This reindeer and the swirly lovely be merry sentiment stamps are from Lawn Fawn. (affiliate linksEllen Hutson and Simon Says Stamp both carry the Lawn Fawn line – I strongly recommend checking out their most recent release because it has great stuff! Both of these stamp sets I used I can’t get enough of.

New Tim Holtz Distress: Carved Pumpkin

DSC_8230

Check it out – Carved Pumpkin in the house! I created a video (link to YouTube) to show you some coloring fun and play with this newest color. I simply framed up the image onto kraft cardstock for my card – got to love simplicity for such a great image!
